2025.01.25 01:21 jimh12345 How much GPU do I really need?
Yes, I know this has to be a pretty common question, but here goes.... I'm a photographer just starting to use Photo AI for upsizing some older shots. It does great, but it's clear I need a more powerful PC to get the times down. I don't do this often, I'm not in a rush so I don't need screaming performance. Is there a recommendation for a GPU available today that's "good enough" for "acceptable" speeds? I realize that's hopelessly vague but I'm just looking for a starting point in the selection process.

Which one is better or would you spend more time on.
I feel like offline is healthier and helps you up your skills and make you more confident?
Does it also helps open more networking opportunities for relationships and jobs? I used to be online most of my life and the only stuff I got flooded with was toxic stuff about how bad life is on Reddit or look at my billionaire lifestyle at 16 and some shit.
Then I go outside and I feel more calmer and relaxed. I speak with people who actually act normal, no offense to Reddit. Sometimes I have a shitty time and sometimes a good one but it feels genuinely better for me.

2025.01.25 01:21 CryptSol What if Naruto started a rock band?
So for this scenario we change the world a little bit. Konoha is a bigger village and kind of a melting pot. People from different nations have emigrated, bringing their own culture. Music, art, literature, etc.
Cue Naruto, who at 7 has been living through the streets. If he isn’t at the academy he’s running alleyways; appreciating the graffiti or hanging around corners as small groups of kids and teens attempt music.
So Naruto, who has lived and breathed in the streets decides to start a band. At first he tells Sasuke (Pre-massacre), Shikamaru, and Choji. It is decided they should bring in the rest of their small class (for the purpose of this book just the rookie 9).
The band would be called Rookie 9 since it’s made of 9 members and in a few years they’d all hopefully be genin.
For instruments (i’m not all THAT knowledgable on instruments btw so sorry), we have Ino and Kiba as Vocalist. Ino would be the main singer with Kiba being a sort of secondary voice for more rougher and rawer verses.
We have Choji and Sakura on drums. I kinda tossed choji here cause i couldn’t see him doing a different role. Sakura i felt would like drums as a sort of outlet. At this point her crush on Sasuke hasn’t fully developed, but she’s been feeling stressed from having to keep up with everyone and trying to fit in.
Hinata would be on a synthesizer. Not only is she really precise, i feel she’d just work well with this. I don’t think Hinata would like to do something as heavy as drums or as eye catching as guitar or vocals.
On guitar I got Shino, Naruto, and Sasuke. Shino surprised them with wanting the role. He’d be playing I believe it’s a bass guitar. Naruto and Sasuke are the two main guitarist.
The band would start pre massacre, and would be active throughout the show. I was thinking that perhaps the band could even be used to prevent the massacre or better yet right out the massacre entirely. I was even messing with the idea of a peaceful(ish) naruto setting. The massacre doesn’t happen, the chunin exams go as normal, etc.

Any good ideas on how to build a white and black deck that doesn't rely on the commander at all.
A friend of mine got a signed [[vish kal, blood arbiter]] and I wanted to give him suggestions. He doesn't seem like the best commander so I was curious if there was a good way to build the deck that doesn't use him.
Without the obvious build of just exiling and making everyone sac stuff, I can't see the win cons here.

Residential carpenter, have been doing a ton of metal siding recently. A bunch of corrugated rusty metal, some hidden fastener panels. Normally use small Milwaukee cutoff tool, Diablo steel demon blade in a skillsaw for big cuts, and tin snips for all the detail stuff and flashing, drip edge, j channel, etc. I like the finish with snips the best and feel like I can make the cleanest cuts so I’m interested in power snips for long cuts in sheet metal or on the corrugated metal. Ideally it would also cut down on metal shavings, noise, and all the annoying parts of using the saws, maybe even avoid tendinitis. What would the best power snips on the Milwaukee batteries for this application?

My (25F) ex (27M) dated for 6 years, he broke up with me almost 3 months ago. Looking back, he very much was emotionally checked out of the relationship, the relationship dynamic was bad especially in the last 1-2 years. The breakup was extremely traumatizing for me, he treated me horribly at the end/right after the breakup and we went no contact almost immediately after. Before no contact, I initially begged for him but then when I found out he was going on multiple dates a week I did not reach out anymore. I’ve been strong and haven’t reached out to him. When we first broke up I told him that if he wanted to know where I was going to grad school he could ask (because it would likely mean me moving away). Today he texted me if he could ask if I committed to a school and put a smiley face. I responded that I didn’t but didn’t give more info. He then said that he hopes I’m okay with him asking again in the near future, to which I didn’t respond. I know he doesn’t want me, because if he did he could try, he knows where I live and everything. So now I’m just confused and borderline offended that he so casually messaged me to what seems like wanting to keep me on the back burner?

Dynasty Warriors Origins has ran flawlessly the whole time I have been playing it. I just completed Battle of Xu Province, and I am now getting hard stuttering on the world map. I closed and reopened the game, and the stuttering is still there.

It feels like I’m entering this new year with a very bitter and hard pill swallowed.
I’m truly realizing/internalizing that NT individuals can, will, and have hated me for no apparent reason. It’s not just a “school issue” that I so blindly believed. Well, even then it was most likely due to my autism. I just thought it was something that would stop happening after I left school.. I recently moved out from my parent’s home into an apartment almost two years ago, and it’s socially abysmal:
Multiple friendships (with other residents) have all failed, whether to even truly start or to wither away and not have any growth. So extremely one sided.. And people act like I’m doing something wrong when I’m just going about my business. It’s so draining to simply step outside my apartment.
It’s so incredibly hard to see everyone else be all buddy-buddy within this relatively small complex and be ostracized.
It’s made me rather depressed. I’m trying hard to fight past it, but it breaks me every day. I feel near agoraphobic from this trauma. This is hell. I don’t feel human (to them).
I’m so tired, I’m beyond tired, I wish I wasn’t here
