My dad typically handles all the finances (my mom has a solid career but a dwarfed income in comparison). My mom decided today to check his personal credit card statements because he’s been making questionable financial decisions recently. During this escapade she found flight line charges that match up with several of his business trips (work pays for his flight). He refuses to explain anything and minute by minute it’s looking more like he took an unknown woman on these trips. I don’t known how to respond to this. I love the man who raised me. But I’m absolutely sickened with what he might’ve done to my mother.

2025.01.27 04:40 ShadeStrider12 Oh my god, I hate Tolvald’s Cave.
“No Stone Unturned” is the worst quest in Skyrim. Having to scour the entire game to find 24 small ass stones without any direction is not what I’d call good quest design, and this quest doesn’t even have the most interesting lore behind it. The Reward is pretty great, essentially making it so that you can crash Skyrim’s economy on a whim, but the quest itself is awful.
But Tolvald’s gap… Oblivion’s dungeons are crap for many reasons: They last fucking forever, are dark as hell for no reason, and the nonlinearity just makes them confusing rather than providing any meaningful choices. Tolvald’s Cave is an Oblivion dungeon stuck in Skyrim. It overstays its welcome, is overly dimly lit, and it appears more complicated than it is.
I like Skyrim’s dungeons because despite following a template, they all felt diverse and memorable in their own way. Even the most unremarkable ones had unique layouts or a gimmick to them. Except for Tolvald’s Cave. Tolvald’s Cave is probably more standout for being an Oblivion dungeon, because it’s the only one I outright didn’t like. Maybe that’s its gimmick.
Even the short, pointless caves like Brood Cavern or Honeystrand Cave didn’t waste much time.
Now imagine if there was an entire game full of dungeons like Tolvald’s Cave… Oh wait.
Anyways, this dungeon gave me a headache and It’s a part of the game I’ll always despise. Tolvald’s Cave is the worst dungeon in Skyrim, and it’s almost fitting that it’s attached to the worst quest.

Hi! I started playing this 'lovely' game a few months ago, and while playing, I noticed some funny things as a Japanese speaker, I thought maybe someone would enjoy this post, (There's a whole bunch, but I'm only going to share the good, the bad, and the funky)
Starting off- The translations for Orochi and Hitokiri, When I first played Orochi, a massive question mark appeared over my head, because nestled between "Sword saint", "Field warrior", and "Gaurdian demon" is.. "snake" Orochi's name literally translates to snake, and not even in a cool way, like- just a boring, garden snake!
But whatever! Hitokiri is the other I thought was funny, he totally lives up to his edgyness with the name "人切", which translates to Person-Cutter. Imagine running around while "Person-Cutter" is saying "I'm death!! I'm gonna get ya!!", (Pretty close translation of his voice line, though he sounds like a chronic smoker.)
The only other thing that really feels of note are the character names in the story- Oh boy.. To start, Momiji is actually a beautiful name, meaning something like "Autumn leaves", But Okuma and Ayu? You guys got done dirty!, with Okuma being a nickname that either translates as Ōkuma (Big bear), or (as spelled in the game-) Okuma, which translates as bear, but in a cutesy way, his name is practically teddy bear, my poor, sweet shugoki.. And while I have never met a person named Ayu before (it's a super uncommon name, pretty, but uncommon, kind of like meeting a girl named Venus), some research reveals the only Ayu of note is a former Adult actress, I'm sorry you had to be named after a Porn star Ayu.
But silly translations aside, I really do love this game! Unlike Apollyon, who got done in by a Garden snake, a Teddy bear, and an X-rated actress.

We did meet Margaret’s father and Potter’s son in law in person, and we saw Henry’s family, Radar’s family, Frank’s wife and BJ’s family in the home movies they sent, but the other relatives remained unseen. I think I’d like to meet Mildred Potter. She sounded like a real firecracker, and seeing Sherm and Mildred together would have been hilarious. There was that episode where Potter and his wife had that rendezvous in Tokyo, so Mildred making a visit to the hospital was plausible and would have made for an interesting episode. I’d also like to have seen more of the wonderful Peg Hunnicut, and perhaps Father Mulcahy’s sister, the basketball playing nun.
