Noting that this is not the usual burning season b/s so posting here in the hopes it doesn’t get deleted by the mods.
In short, I’m stuck here during burning season as I’m recovering from a compound fracture in my spine and literally can’t travel.
We weren’t originally going to be here (current condo expires Feb 25).
I’m surprised to see that there seem to be zero price reductions on any short terms rentals March-May.
Surely there’s a bunch of empty condos during that period?

The different cities and states also offer different experiences. The old america and settler architecture of the east coast in philly, New York, Virginia, etc. the Cajun and creole Southern food, music, and hospitality of Louisiana, the pacific beach and laid back vibe, a Colorado skiing club, or a powow in Nevada. our culture is mostly a blend of African American, Anglo, and Hispanic influences and even Asian. Sports like baseball, ice hockey, American football, Sure we might have regressed into corporate late stage capitalism and consumerism, But If you think america has no culture you need to go outside more and educate yourself, I also think the problem is our culture is so global and widespread that people don't see it as culture anymore

2025.01.27 05:39 HerrStraub 2010 Kia Forte - P0011 / MIL off, Oil Pressure Light On

I'll start off by saying I'm not super knowledgeable about this sort of stuff - I can handle an oil change, air filters, disc brakes, but that's about where my expertise ends. If there's any information I've left out that is needed, I'd be happy to dig around the car and try and find it. My niece drives a 2010 Kia Forte with just about 200,000 miles. Last week she drove to work but it wouldn't start when she got off work. I went to check it out and it would crank, but not turn over. It was sub-zero outside, so my first thought was maybe the battery wasn't providing enough juice to actually start the car. The next day we put in a new battery and the car was slow to start, but did turn over. When it started the check engine light came on. It seemed to be idling rough, but I went ahead and brought it home. I ordered a code scanner and it arrived on Saturday. I went out to the car and received the attached photo from the code scanner. Googling the $07E8 code wasn't very helpful - I've seen all kinds of things mentioned - a loose gas cap, bad O2 sensors, cylinder misfires, all kinds of stuff. I did confirm the gas cap was not loose, and was able to get the car to start (hard to start still, rough idle), and the check engine light went off, but the low oil pressure light came on. At first the oil pressure light was flashing, but then it came on solid. I checked the oil dip stick and…well, I love my niece but she’s a 20 year old and responsibility isn’t her strong suit. Changing the oil is easy enough and I plan to do that while I’m off work on Wednesday, but I’m worried about the Camshaft timing statement. Like I said, I’m not knowledgeable, but that doesn’t seem like something that should just miraculously go away on it’s own? Or if it can slip back & forth, it’ll be something that happens again, right? Any advice on what I should do before/after changing the oil, or anything else I should be on the lookout for would be greatly appreciated. She’s in college and my sister’s a single mom with two more kids, so I’m trying to avoid sending them to the mechanic unless it’s absolutely necessary, but I think I'm probably in over my head on this one. submitted by HerrStraub to AskMechanics [link] [comments]

I have been playing the SS Mod and I cannot create Mangonels or Catapults after my first turn even in settlements with a Catapult Maker. It says that the unit is going to be available in 9 turns but turns keep happening and the counter is not going down, it keeps saying 9 turns forever.
