2025.01.27 17:12 redandblueandyellow 8-10 20+ year old Neem trees cut because society women wanted "sun during winters". Is there any legal recourse?
We live in a co-operative group housing apartments in Faridabad, Haryana. For some time the old ladies have not been able to sit in the 'favorite spot' because the tall Neem trees don't let the sunset sunlight reach them in the evening. Also another family who moved in 2 years ago and started planting his home garden in the common area has been unhappy with the Neem trees because his plants don't get direct sunlight. Both parties have made multiple attempts to have the trees cut down. Once we even had to fight the family because the resident was literally up on a neem tree and cutting a branch himself. Turns out the MCF guys visited today (not sure if this is true), and said they need to cut some branches because they are touching the electricity grid wires. Well, okay. Assuming it is true, fine. BUT. They have CLEARLY CUT SO MUCH MORE THAN NECESSARY. TREES THAT DID NOT EVEN HAVE ANY BRANCHES TOUCHING OR NEAR THE WIRES HAVE BEEN CUT DOWN. I spoke to the people cutting it down and they said that some was for the MCF work, but the society families have also come and requested them to cut extra without telling anyone.
What can I do here?
It's painful to see. It's so incredibly wrong. 20+ years of strong, beautiful, lush green trees just cut down. These stupid men and women don't realise that these very trees provided shade in summers, which are increasingly unbearable each year.
I want to slap some legal on the society management so that they know things dont go without consequences. Please help in case anyone has an idea. Thanks a lot in advance.

Back in the 90s and early 00s monthly we would get low flying Jaguar, Tornado GR4, F3, Harriers and occaisionally american F15. This does not happen so much now. Does anyone know why it was common in the 90s or where the jets were transitioning to?

Hi everyone 👋
I’m looking for some advice. My child has ASD Level II, ODD, and ADHD. We’re in Florida and pulled him out of public school because they weren’t following his IEP. They’d constantly call me to pick him up, keep him in the office for hours, or, in the worst instance, even lost him 🤦🏻♀️. He’s now in private school, which is better, but I feel like it’s still not quite the right fit.
He gets 25 hours of ABA therapy per week while at school, two OT sessions a week, and one session of mental health therapy (soon increasing to three). Progress is happening, but it’s slow. Since the holiday break, it feels like we’ve backtracked—he doesn’t want to be at school anymore. He doesn’t like doing schoolwork (who does?), but I can tell he’s really unhappy, and getting him there every day is a battle.
Does anyone have experience with schools in upstate NY? I’m wondering if the schools up there might be a better fit and wouldn’t cost as much as we’re paying now between tuition and support services. I just want him to be happy and thriving. Right now, it feels like we’re just surviving day to day, and I think his meltdowns stem from not wanting to be at school in the first place (even though the staff handles them well).
Any insights would be greatly appreciated!
