2025.01.27 16:44 Salinsburg Varnish question
I'm wondering what folks use for a clear coat, if they use one. I was thinking of going with a french polish with some nice blonde shellac, which will do very little to the color, but preferably i'd like something completely clear. This is my first instrument if you can't tell. I'm not willing to use anything unnatural, and would prefer if it's something I can make myself. Any ideas welcome!
PS: I'm primarily interested in avoiding adding any color because I've done the purfling in silver and have another section where I'll be adding in some gold. I've also done the color in dragons blood which I quite like just as it is and don't want to tint if I can avoid it. Bonus points if a final coat has some adhesion to it, since hide glue isn't ideal for metals, though, I'm unwilling to use anything else. Tbh, when I made my hide glue, I had stirred it with a metal spoon, and nearly had to trash the spoon lol. If it's very very very thick (add wayyyy less water than usual) it holds pretty darn well. So think that'll be ok.

As the title says, my monstera was super top heavy so i decided to add a moss pole. when repotting i did notice that the roots were smaller than i expected but it had been doing really well so i didn’t think much of it. now about a week after repotting and adding the moss pole, multiple leaves are yellowing. what can i do to save her??

I’m truly shocked and discouraged.
I picked up some passengers and drove them to their drop off location, only for them to realize that it was the wrong address that they entered. So I told them, that’s okay you can change it to the correct address (even though we were already at the wrong address).
They changed it, I dropped them off, and I noticed that I only got paid for dropping them off at the final drop off, there was no pay accounted for me driving them to the initial drop off location.
So I called uber to try to get it corrected, because I basically drove 2 trips in 1, and uber says that I never drove to another location and they only see me picking up and driving them to the final drop off, they don’t see that the passenger changed the trip at all in the system. So I basically drove for free

I couldn't find anyone else talking about this but pretty often I'll have a bout of some bad back pain, asides from my constant and undiagnosable usual pain, and it'll also give me a terrible cough that persists until my pain eventually subsides. I can't find much of anything searching online. No doctor has been able to help or offer any suggestions. Has anyone else suffered something similar?
