Well I’m from Ireland and I’m in uni ! And I’m 24. I’m nerdy, heavily enjoy fantasy and grimdark settings, so massive LOTR, elder scrolls, GOT/HOTD and Warhammer fan. I play on PC (total war, arma 3, Hoi4, stellaris and many more ) and ps5 (Elden ring, battlefield)
Im also big into history, specifically military history!! I’m a history student in fact , my areas of study are Roman/Greek, military, Irish and archaeology! I’m a pagan, Norse pagan
My fav food is a toastie and I love coffee n tea!

I am 23 years old on my parents insurance. We have a 5000 deductible. Literally have never gotten close to meeting my deductible. I have severe acne that will not go away but to see a dermatologist in any capacity it is $200 per visit. I genuinely cannot afford this nor can my parents. I can’t even see my doctor without paying $75 per visit (more manageable than $200 monthly) does anyone have any advice ):

It feels like at least 4/5 games, I don't get full use or proc. My recent attempt was with Doctor along with Huntresses Lullaby and Terror Radius perks and add-ons, but I'm lucky if I get 2 hooks before the Hex goes bye bye. The only regular success I've seen is Hag and Devour thanks to her traps.

Just found an "Prestigo Multipad PMP558OC DUO" in my basement, and I had a lot of memories with it. And now, for me, its now useless and outdated.
It runs 4.0.4 version of android, and it have 1gb of ram. It still works, but with minor problems. Screen is partially working, when you press on it a little to hard, it will glitch out, and randomly do everything, pressing, swiping, something like that. Battery is working strange, it drains itself even if you turn it off. It also has a HDMI port, but somehow, my HDMI plug is larger than it, and it's doesn't fit in here.
Any answer is appreciated, thanks for reading and reaching out.

So this year my merit was 93.9 while the closing merit for mbbs was approximately 94.4. I have always been a good student academically. I got first position in matric and 10th in fsc (alhumdulillah)I was studying pretty hard for mcat due to which i had a burn-out out one month before my mcat exam. I couldn’t study despite my efforts and it impacted me a-lot emotionally. In short i couldn’t make it to a government medical university college. Sadly i didn’t take aka seriously and even though i didn’t study for it i missed it by about 3-4 marks w mcat preparation (owing to the easy exam) I have applied for Shifa but i am not sure if i should go into a private uni when i can try again for a gov uni in lhr. I am also scared if i might undergo the same depressive episode again.

I haven’t played a game since Clash of Clans in 2016. Last year, due to extremely bad circumstances, I had to move out and live in a remote village, far away from everything. At the time, I didn’t know how long I would be staying there, as I was waiting for things to cool down. I had nothing to do.
One day, out of sheer boredom, I decided to download this game I kept seeing in YouTube ads. That day, I played for four hours and got hooked instantly. I kept it up for the next two days, digging into the mechanics, browsing Discord and Reddit, and getting deeply involved in the game. That was the moment I realized I was getting addicted.
So I deleted it immediately. This has been my practice since I was a teenager—if I feel like I’m becoming addicted to something, I stop right away before it’s too late. I’ve learned that if I don’t stop early, I’ll end up quitting much later, after wasting years.
The next day, though, I was bored out of my mind. I slipped up and said, Screw it. Let me get addicted.
I reinstalled the game and dove in. I learned every trick in the book, mastered every combination, joined the best alliances, and stayed in the top 50 on my server for months. But the whole time, I knew I’d have to quit someday. I knew all the time and money I was pouring into it would amount to absolutely nothing. Yet I just couldn’t stop. No matter how hard I tried, I couldn’t bring myself to delete it again.
Then one week, I was about to max out my first squad to five stars. I had 450 recruitment cards saved, patiently waiting for the hero event to use everything. The anticipation was boiling—I was addicted to the dopamine rush. This game was like cocaine for rats. It manipulates your dopamine, and once you’re hooked, you’re trapped. We all know it, and yet we keep playing.
But then, on the big day, as I prepared to sync my upgrades during the Arms Race, I had a thought: This is the highest dose of dopamine this game can give me. If I can tell this game “F** you” right now, I can tell it “F*** you” forever.*
So I didn’t upgrade anything. Instead, I said goodbye to my alliance, donated all my resources, and within one minute of making the decision, I deleted the game from my phone.
The next few days were strange. On the first day, I was fine. But the second day, I woke up and felt like I’d lost something important. Even though the game was meaningless and harmful, it still left a void.
I made myself a cup of coffee, walked into the woods, and sat under a tree to drink it in peace. I swear it felt like a prisoner being released from their cell. I didn’t have to deal with the daily “chores” of the game anymore. I didn’t have to spend money or worry about in-game tasks. And when I thought about the game, I realized it wasn’t even “fun.” It was just a to-do list disguised as entertainment—chores I was imposing on myself.
And I wasn’t getting paid for it. I was paying them! That’s some dark magic right there. 😂
Honestly, I hadn’t planned to write this post. I deleted the game over a month ago and had mostly forgotten about it. But today, I was checking my Reddit inbox and saw someone reply to an old comment I made on this subreddit. I clicked on the subreddit and saw posts from people asking how to get stronger and unlock better heroes. It made me sad. I felt like I had to share this, just in case someone really wants to quit but can’t take that first step.
For the record, I have nothing against games. They’re an amazing way to stimulate the brain, and I think gaming for a few hours a week can be really healthy. But giving your time and money to an app that uses manipulation as its primary business model is a huge problem for me—especially when it targets kids. In my opinion, that’s unethical. I’m all in on boycotting apps like these.
