Newbie here, please excuse my ignorance...
I'm looking to upgrade my home theatre speakers and would like some advice. My current AVR is an old Marantz SR6001 (100watts into 8ohms x 7ch) in a 15'x16' seating config, but within a larger room. This will be used almost exclusively for TV/Movies...maybe listening to music down the road?
I have just bought a SVS SB-1000 sub and I am considering the following towers;
- Dali Oberon 5 - $1700 CAD all in new
- Monitor Audio Bronze 500 - $1100 CAD all in used (purchased in 2022)
- SVS Prime Pinnacle - asking $1500 CAD used (unsure of age)
I realize the best solution is to listen to hear the speakers first hand and make my decision on personal preference. However, I am finding it challenging finding a local store that has these on display to listen to. I'm leaning towards the MA bronze 500, mostly because I am a cheap ass. lol. Anyone's advice with first hand knowledge would be very much appreciated! TIA

Girlfriend here. My boyfriend walks a lot at his job and I notice he uses baby powder to prevent chafing. Every morning he leaves baby powder on the floor which is obviously messy and I don’t want him to keep dirtying his bathroom. He is a “why change it if it’s not broken” type of man so I’m wondering if you guys have any suggestions that you use that is less messier than using baby powder and equally as efficient. His bottle is almost up so I’m trying to replace it before he buys another one lol. Thanks in advance for any advice! 😂

I tested 1/16 and I feel decent (eeehhh) about the exam, I’m just so anxious waiting for the score. F24, 5'6", 230lbs, I take various psych meds + Prilosec, non smoker, no related medical issues (some undiagnosed GI stuff + mental health conditions). I don't think any of that is relevant bc there's a clear cause here but there you go. The issue is basically what it says in the title. Thought I had a tampon in but couldn't find it (believe me I thought I had checked thoroughly) but I kept getting gross discharge so I checked again and yep there it was. Definitely experiencing some mild burning/discomfort but nothing else, but im just worried about infection or tss. Should I go to urgent care or should I just keep an eye on it? Ty for help 🙏

 | My Aussie (9f) started having focal seizures -> grand Mal seizures in Nov after a dose of nexguard spectra. We had a few emergency vet visits and she was stabilized on Keppra 3x 2 -500 mg tables 8 hours apart. This was then reduced to 2 tablets at night and only one tablet morning and afternoon doses. On the weekend she started having focal seizures. They last about 30-45 seconds. Upped the doses again to 2 tablets every 8 hours. The focal seizures are still happening but are less frequent. I have a consult with my vet in an hour, and they’ve put through a referral to a neurologist to look at treatment options and the possibility of an MRI. Otherwise she is fine - eating, sleeps through the night. Runs around and plays in the snow. Has anyone dealt with anything similar and have suggestions? Je suis en passe d’acheter mon premier bien immobilier à 21ans. Je dois habiter hors de chez mes parents assez rapidement. L’options d’acheter ma RP directement est évidemment dans mes projet. Mon objectif serait d’acheter -> travaux -> revente, soit un aller retour en résidence principale. Avec le cash de gagné, quel serait la suite ? Là est mon bloquage. J’aurai certes du cash mais ma capacité d’endettement sera toujours la même, je ne pourrais pas donc enchaîner sur un second bien immobilier. L’options de commencer par louer et acheter un bien locatif peux être une options mais qui ne plait pas tant que ça…
Avez vous des conseils pour me débloquer et avancer dans ma quête d’acheter un second bien ? Peut être SCI ?
