I'm a 25-year-old Male in Columbus, and I've had a wild ride. I ditched a soul-sucking job at the end of 2022, and by June '23, I'd paid off my Toyota 4Runner. But here's the thing I left another toxic job in Feb '24 and have been unemployed since.
BUT, I'm trying to turn things around. This February, I'm starting a CNA program. My plan is to gain some experience in the field, and then enroll at Columbus State to pursue my ADN.
In the meantime, I've been applying to jobs like crazy, hoping to land something before my CNA class starts. Fingers crossed I can scrape together some savings and get back on my feet.
Am I finally headed in the right direction? Or am I just delaying the inevitable?

2025.01.30 22:33 Likes2game03 Gripes with Tales of Arise Combat
I made a post about a few months ago about Graces having the best combat while Arise comes close and I still stand by it, but many respectfully disagreed. I say any common complaints about Arise battle amount to only two things really: enemy HP & iron stance. Honestly, complaining it being simple isn't too valid. I mean, simple doesn't mean bad as RPGs like Dragon Quest XI or Rise of the Third Power has taught me. Plus, it's not like the combat from the other games from the End of the LMBS Era where things are too easy by design. Anyway, for people who hate the two aforementioned problems were removed, would still hate the combat? Either way, I think when there's a definitive edition of game, that could prolly be addressed. But what are your thoughts? Lower the HP & make enemy's stagger longer.

Does vampires are affected by the weather or do they even feel it ?
I remember in TVD a scene where Rebekah and Matt are outside at night, Matt says that it's freezing and give his coat to Rebekah. She started to say " I'm a vampire. We don't... " but then don't finish and accept the gesture of kindness. I guess she obviously wanted to say " I'm a vampire. We don't feel the cold. " or something like that.
Now I can't remember if there is another vampire in all 3 shows making a remark about cold weather... But I remember many vampires who actually said they could feel the heat. Most of those who have daylight speak of the warmth of the sun.
So... Can vampires actually feel temperature ? Can they feel it but somehow it don't bother them ? Or they don't feel anything at all ? Or maybe they are not affected by the cold because " they are dead " but can still feel heat ? It's kinda weird.
The think is, the way they dress can't even be an indicator. I mean, even if they don't feel the cold, it would drawn so much attention to go out with your short and tank top when everyone is freezing outside, so obviously they would dress like peoples are supposed to.

Hello I'm hoping someone here will know something more to set me on the right path.
I live and work in Denmark, I pay all my taxes here and there's no issues regarding the income stream from my job.
I also have significant investments abroad which generate an income from interest (I pay tax for this in that country), this interest is payed to an account in that country and I never moved my money from that country into Denmark - It has largely been untouched except for when I visit that country I use that card.
These investments were generated from several decades of living and working in that country - putting as much as I could towards investing so I would have a safety net.
After many years of not touching that money, recently I tried to bring some money across but this was blocked by my Danish bank, this also triggered some auditing system which has resulted in insanely high taxes here in Denmark as well as a legal case.
As mentioned before it is not possible for me to bring money from that country into Denmark so I'm unable to use those investments to pay the Danish tax. In order for me to pay these taxes I would need to empty my Danish bank account - and that is only good for this year - meaning when I get the same tax next year I will have to somehow pay it out of an empty account.
Any help would be greatly appreciated. Do you know any good lawyers, accountants, or auditors who have dealt with this kind of international case?
I personally believe it is really unfair I'm being taxed so much on these investments - the money never left the country of origin and has basically been untouched for 10+ years. Everything I have ever paid for here in DK has been from my own salary here, I've never used that money in Denmark. I'm devastated and stressed out about potential bankruptcy while having the means to pay for it locked abroad.

I'm looking at getting a new car, and one that is a good bit better than my 2015 vehicle. It's getting old and features and cost of this car are just getting too much (it's an a6 audi). I'm also feeling like i made a mistake with getting a sedan because I'm uncomfortable fitting in it being 6'1. With that being said I was looking for a truck and found a Chevy 2024 Colorado for $27,289.
I made the mistake with audi as when a part or anything went wrong, I had to contact audi just to get something fixed. I'm hoping that this truck will be different and easy to buy parts for.
For the price being under $30k for a truck seems really good as far as I can see. Does anyone have issues or problems they've seen with this particular truck? I want to make sure I'm getting a good deal as well as getting a car that will last me a good while. I have a spec sheet butt it's too big to put here so just ask if it has something.

If there any specific mailbox for Meta / Facebook support I could possibly email? A Link, perhaps?
I have been trying to regain access to an old account but unfortunately, I do not have enough information to log back into it. The email address I used back when I created it was disabled due to lack of use, and I do not have the same device I used 7 years ago. The password, apparently, was updated 6 years ago so there is no way to verify or reset since I do not recall making that update to begin with.
Given the case, I would like to either get in touch with support team, or at least have the account deleted since there are a few public photos there I wouldn't want to leave available. Pity for the memories lost in there, but I have tried several options with no success.
I have read the rules and I am aware any direct messages offering to recover my account are most likely a scam, and I respect if this post gets removed for stirring such attempts.

2025.01.30 22:33 RangerValor Season 2 Update Unplayable on PC
After the season 2 Update, my CPU usage is pegged to 100% and the game is unplayable. This was never an issue before...so I don't think it's a hardware issue. Uninstalled and reinstalled fresh and it's still doing the same thing.
Anyone else having this issue and have a possible fix?
