Dating sucks. How do I get over this and forgive myself?
Such a long story, but for context I’m 21 F and this happened when I freshly turned 19 - had no idea about relationships and I was open with him about it and how I was very inexperienced.
Okay so we met on bumble (my bestfriend made me download it because I was super sad about a guy who was not nice to me LMAO) this was back in summer 2023. We matched, talked on bumble for like 2 days and then he was like “do you wanna talk somewhere else like snap or something” and I was like “I’ll give you my number so it doesn’t just turn into pointless snaps!” And I’ve actually never said that to any guy before lmfao usually I’m just like eh whatever and give my snap. But it felt different like I’ve never clicked with someone like that, it was strange but it felt right. This is in like eh ending of June. And he goes “oh I’m deleting bumble” and I was like oh yeah me too. But also like I didn’t know if he was talking to other girls (which likes that’s how dating now goes I guess, so it didn’t really bother me. We weren’t dating, and never established “he I’m not talking to anyone else” like genuinely I have NO IDEA if he was talking to anyone else while we we’re talking at all.
So he works out of town, and would work for longgg stretches. He wanted to take me out but he was always working, and I was pretty busy. So like July now, we talk like EVERYday. Morning, night, everytime we have time to talk we’re talking, it’s so natural, it’s so awesome. I had a trip coming up and couldn’t spend much money, he kept offering me money like “oh I’ll send you money for lunch” or like stuff like that, (I never accepted because I hate people spending money on me and like that’s not fair lmao) but looking back in hindsight I think he was trying to show how serious he was about me maybe? I don’t know but ugh I feel awful even typing this story because it just makes me sad.
My birthday comes around and he messages me like the sweetest birthday message ever. He would message me cute things all the time, as did I. I did notice tho like when he was home(so not working) or with friends he wouldn’t text me as much. And maybe it’s a guy thing ahah idk. But as a girl, when I’m with my friends I’ll still text the guy I’m talking to (not taking away from the hangout but quickly grabbing my phone and then putting it down) idk the whole time he was home he texted me way less but I just was kinda like eh whatever.
So in august I go to Ireland, the uk, and we were still texting. I literally wanna throw up because I hate that I did this and it makes me feel like I’m a shit ass person. But in England I re downloaded bumble for like 2 days (quite literally just because I wanted to see what the guys looked like) and I know that’s so stupid. When I got home, I literally opened the app, and deleted my account.
Then like 2 days after I got home, me and my 2 best friends got into a HUGE fight,so I texted him (we used to tell eachother almost everything) and was kinda like ah like me and my friends are fighting and I JUST got home and feel like garbage lmao. And he was sweet about it but I spent the whole day arguing with them, crying, it was a LONG day for someone who flew across the world two days prior.
Then that night he was like “oh what happened” and I was like “can I tell you tmrw? I’m really tired and I’ve been crying” and he was like please tell me I’m here for you, please! And I was like “ I wanna tell you and I will tmrw I’m just super tired” and I fell asleep.
The following days, he was super dry, and I could tell he was off and I asked him like hey did I do something.
And he said “well you didn’t wanna tell me about your fight and my friend saw your new bumble so I figured we were done” and then he was like i know we weren’t dating but I did wanna take you on a date after I got back from this time at work…
And then I was like explaining to him what happened (didn’t like quite literally said I wanted to look at the guys there) I’m well aware of how fucking stuoid this all is and I’m an idiot who ruined something that could’ve been good. ( I was freshly 19 at the time this happend - like one month being 19, and I’ve also never been in a relationship before and he knew that, and he knew I didn’t really “know” how to be in one)
Anyways, he was alike ahh it’s okay, and then kept being all weird and I was like “okay do you wanna keep talking or not”(I know this was rude I was panicking I really didn’t wanna lose him :( )
He literally left me on read😵💫
After like 3 months, READ. And it was all my fault.
And honestly this stories a bit foggy but I just left it. (This was September because I remember texting him that last message on campus)
Then In December I was out for my friends birthday and drank a bit Lmao, and I texted him (because genuinely everyone I tell this story to tells me it’s not my fault but I can’t help but feel like it is. I fucked up, I hurt someone and it’s my fault) I texted him a long winded message something like “hey i know it’s been three months but I really am sorry for what I did to you. I really did like you and I know I hurt you” (something like that but way longer lol) and then in the morning he said “all good don’t worry about it” and then we kinda Talked a bit more, and I was like “oh I’m glad you’re doing good I really missed you” and he was like “is that why you hit me up? Because you missed me?” And I said “no I genuinely feel bad and I just wanna make it right” and he was like oh okay kinda thing lol
Anyways. We’re texting for a bit but it’s diff vibes, like I knew him and then texting him again eh, he was barely affectionate, and it wasn’t the same. Then I had another party and drank 😵💫 texted him a whole bunch of stuff blah blah blah lol.
Next morning, he was like oh don’t worry about the past blah blah. And I was like “I feel bad, I really do” and he was like don’t. And I said if just feels different now idk if you’re still interested
Then he ghosted me?¿ lmdao. And be being the attached girly that I am lmfao texting him again and he said he was offended t that I would think he wasn’t interested (idk that was dumb LMAO) because I genuinely was trying to communicate better because that’s what ruined us in the first place, And he was like yeah I get what you mean, and the proceeded to send me a SpongeBob meme while I was trying to have an adult conversation.
And then, he was starting to be distant again, and I basically like poured my heart out to him like (so embarrassing LMAO) saying we could be better than we were blah blah blah. And he replied “idk we tried twice and crashed and burned both times” first time yeah that was me, but I still don’t understand the second time :(
At this point, it’s New Year’s Eve. I texted him a paragraph. He replied saying “I’m out rn I’ll read that later” and in the morning I said “okay happy new year” and he never ever replied to me.😵💫
It’s been nearly two years and he’s all I think about, it’s sad and I really want to forgive myself.

Can an external hemorrhoid be banded? I had a hemorrhoidectomy a few years ago. Recovery was slow and excruciating. I’m reading on some websites that external hemorrhoids can only be removed through surgery but on this thread it sounds like that may not be the case?
Anyone have success with banding of an external hemorrhoid? I only have one that is about a 1/2 inch long.

2025.01.31 01:20 Broad_Warning_2886 DLSS swap using Nvidia App | Battlefield 2042 observations
I downloaded the new driver and nvidia app update today as soon as both became available.
The DLSS implementation in Battlefield 2042 wasn't that good and that's why I played mostly on 4K native with some settings turned to low to get 140+ fps.
I tried the DLSS swap in the Nvidia App and I can 100% say that it works. Previously DLSS quality was blurry in the game but now even DLSS performance looks as good as native. I checked multiple times and can't spot a difference really but I see a 45 fps uplift going from native to DLSS performance so it clearly works.
Very good work I must say.
