After 13 years of it, I consider myself ex-poly because if I have to date one more person who goes on about being able to love unlimited people equally but is really just an avoidant, I will blow my head off. I still think it's a good idea in theory, I just have no interest in entering into another relationship yet still not being able to escape the grind of dating apps. I want one person who actually wants to meet my needs.
...However, if that person ended up having a drunk one-nighter with some other guy, I don't think it would be the end of the world as long as they were honest about it? The lying and hiding aspect of affairs bothers me way more. I have no intention of running around on whoever I date next, but the convention of blowing up the entire relationship no matter how long and involved over a fling seems a bit absolutist for my taste. Sex isn't love, and I'm well aware of how you can be wildly attracted to someone you know isn't relationship material.
Is there any kind of name or precedent for that? I'm assuming it wouldn't be popular in this sub in particular, and that some might assume I'm setting myself up to be used.

2025.01.31 02:21 Expensive-League7416 How do you emotionally handle sleep training?
Ugh I was so ready for sleep training and I've already failed at it on night one. I did the Taking Cara Babies course and was all excited and ready (also nervous) but I was feeling pretty confident until my 5 month old screamed so hard for an hour and a half he was coughing and gagging. Even with the 5-15 minute check ins. I finally gave up and picked him up and bounced him to sleep. It's unbearable listening to him scream. But I'm so sleep deprived I don't know what to do now. How do you survive the screaming? What if he just kept screaming all night? It seems dangerous even though they say it's not. The people who have successfully done it say it's a miracle and their babies now sleep 10-12 hours a night. That sounds like a dream but it's like you have to sell your soul to achieve that. Any advice on how to emotionally survive sleep training is appreciated

i remember watching this film in early 2018 or 2019 where it started with a soldier walking with his dog until his dog found this random gold capsule thing and the started to attack it's owner but the soldier shoots the dog, later that same soldier enters a house and kills two people with his shotgun you could see his eyes are black, the scene changes to the soldier entering a family's house killing two people but the dad shoots him killing the soldier instantly suddenly the dad gets the black eyes and kills the rest of the family. one thing i remember about the film is that the people with the black eyes would let out these black opps zombie type of roar. someone please help me find this film

I'm reassembling my old Gretsch Renown so I can sell it, and I notice the attachment for the toms on the top of the bass drum is slightly off center, closer to one side. There is a Gretsch logo on the top of the bass drum, which is currently facing away from me, toward the audience.
It's been a while since I played, so do I want the toms closer to me or farther away?

ello Everyone… I was recently involved in a Motorcycle Wreck Sept 2nd 2024… I was blind sided by an SUV. When I was hit it broke my right leg mid thigh and also severed my femoral artery. I had no pulse at the time EMS arrived and transported me to the local hospital. I was there for Two hours before being transported to Wake Forest Baptist Hospital. After arrival “ Approximately 4-5 Hours Post Accident they began surgery to take my Saphenous Vein from my Good Leg and replace my Saphenous Vein in my Bad Leg. They gave it 24-48 Hours to see if it would take… it didnt… they said they tried cleaning everything out the best they could but it was so clotted up it wasn’t taking and I had to get my Right Leg Amputed. My question is this…. How long did I have realistically after the wreck before it was too late to save… is there anything I could have done ? Does what they said make sense ? I know there are a lot of factors here but I guess I’ve always been confused on how loosing blood flow would clot that fast… maybe someone can shed some light… thank you…

2025.01.31 02:20 Temporary-Card1124 Pressure pad solution
Gents! I really wanted this to work. Modlite modbutton dual lead, one end on my M6TR, and one end on my white light. I really want the capability to fire my white light and vis laser simultaneously.
But the modbutton makes my white light extremely weak. Laser is perfect. And if I hold it on for long, it heats up to the point of being too hot to use. Has a squealing sound as well. Sounds like it’s shorting.
So I have two options. One of you super awesome smart people cut open my button and improve its connection. Or, just find another solution. I’ve yet to find one. Please don’t attack me for wanting the ability to fire both simultaneously.
I’d love some help and advice.
