I have a simple solution to end all the dowry cases in India. If there are no cases of dowry then 498a won't be required. It will also solve the problem of fake cases too. Everyone will be happy. Feminists and men's rights activist both.
So the solution is- The greedy girls and her parents should not look for getting married in the family which has a higher status than them AND second, obviously the family which demands dowry.

 | So, for me and my scattered friends, we are really into the age of the VTT. I use foundry with forge and its great. For my Star Frontiers game I got a lot of top down Greg Brunni Tokens, he has some really awesome retro spacemen. The problem, of course, is a complete lack of Star Frontier specific tokens. You can fins some bug men... but they aren't Vrusks! There are some ape men from gamma world tokens... but you know, they aren't right. I'm sure there are some blobbish tokens out there too. I really like top down tokens, so I am starting to work on sets of Star Frontiers Characters. Specifically Dralasites, Vrusk, and Yzarian, mostly using the pictures of David A. Trampier as reference, because I like him best... Anyway, I'm talking big, but I really just started. Eventually I might try to Patreon them when i have enough, and they look good enough. Here is a early Dralasite effort. Its needs some work and I would be grateful for suggestions. The belt is a little stupid, the arm needs to move to show his three legs better, lots of positional things, but its what I have done so far. My boyfriend of nearly 2 years was caught cheating on me at the club that my friend also happened to be at that same night. That same night he had gotten a DUI and tried calling me multiple times the next day, but I had already heard it from my friend. I did confront him, but he never responded back to me. He went two months without speaking to me. He came back, trying to justify his actions by telling me that he thought we were broken up because we hadn’t talked in a couple days. We already had a rocky relationship constantly being good then bad. But for him to feel like he had the right to after everything he had done to make our relationship unstable. After hearing what he did, I just couldn’t release that resentment that I kept for him. A DUI is not a joke.. I immediately lost the admiration I had for him. How could I think someone like that who clearly has no respect for himself to have respect for me?

I am struggling here. I feel alone in trying to help our son adapt with his ADHD. I meet opposition whenever I come to my husband with new information about how to support our 8 year old, or whenever we are putting to use advice from our parenting coach.
As I type this I realize he is triggered and taking it personally. He feels like he is the one that’s receiving these supports. (He has undiagnosed ADHD and trauma from his own childhood bc of that lack of diagnosis) And I suppose in a way he is. He has some awareness around how triggering it is for him. But he’s also a complete dick about it. Which is to say I have empathy for his lived experience but 🤬 also I’m just SO frustrated by him. It feels isolating and all I think is “time to plan for separation bc this is not worth it”.
After lurking in this subreddit for a good year I assume I’m not alone in these feelings... how are you all coping with this sort of experience? What advice do you have to give space for the asshole and the love that resides in your partner?

2025.02.01 18:42 lynzpie- Book 5/50! My favourite book of the month was The Vegetarian by Han Kang.
This is my book journal page for this entry! This is an almost impossible book to rate and review. It is so weird, so unsettling, and a lot more violent than I initially thought it would be. It’s an exploration of body autonomy and choice, societal expectations, power dynamics, sexuality and obsession, freedom and restriction.
I think for me it was ultimately about control and body autonomy; being able to make decisions about and for your body. I would love to be able to go back to my English lit courses in university and analyze this one with other people. It is massively open to interpretation and every reader will get something different from this book. What I know for certain is that it was deeply affecting and I understand if this is either hated or loved.
