For various house-and-family type reasons, my husband and I have been out of the loop with the hobby since 2015. But we have space to play again at last! Which inspired me to try to figure out what we missed and if any of it belongs at our table. (Especially since part of the making space process involved selling a bunch of games, and now I have $70 of FLGS store credit burning a hole in my pocket.)
Basically, we only know about it/have it from the last 10 years if it's either a Matt Leacock co-op or available on the shelf at Target. Otherwise, I know trick taking got huge out of nowhere, which is fantastic because I love Euchre but really only get to play games with my husband. So now we have The Crew and we're loving it. And I see that roll-and-write became popular, but I don't know about specific games to look into. If I'm missing any developments like cool new/resurgent mechanics or style of game, I haven't found it yet and would love to know!
I hope this is broad enough beyond just a WSIG to stand as an individual post, but for any specific game regulations for best games published since 2015...
Players: Anything that works well with 2
Length: We typically set up, play, and clean up in a 2-hour window, but we would leave a longer game set up to play over multiple days if it's worth it.
Co-op/competitive: We lean towards co-op, but we like multi-player solitaire competitive games, too.
Theme: We prefer the nerdiest of nerddom fantasy/sci-fi, but also tend to like anything where the theme is reflected in the mechanics, that's just plain pretty, or even a pasted-on theme is fine in the right games where it doesn't matter (ex. The Crew). I tend not to enjoy mundane or realistic themes (farming, trade, transportation, etc.), unless it's funny (ex, Suburbia).
So far, we've got our eyes on Wyrmspan or Everdell, but I don't know what I don't know!

My ex left two months ago, and although we did have our issues we had a lot of good memories. We even have a 2 year old together. I stated he misses me but it’s hard to believe since he also brags about all the women he’s with on top of already having someone new he takes out. I realize now it’s best I see it now and cry it out now, but I wonder if he will ever regret treating me so horribly and regret losing the relationship we had. I’ve seen that guys typically bury their emotions in a rebound and then regret months later, but has anyone actually experienced this.

The title says it all really but I'll explain.
I'm new to the Batman comics (AS: ASHOSE would be my first comic) and I've been interested in the dark and gritty world of Arkham Asylum. I've heard this one is quite dark and have even watched a few videos on it and I'm hooked on the tone.
I usually read Marvel comics (eg, Spider-Gwen, Gameverse Spider-Man) and all of them come as paperback or digital so it's easy to pick.
Arkham Asylum is the first DC comic I'd own and I'm a little confused since 'comic' is a separate option. While I'm typing this, I just thought it could be 'comic' is the classic comic book material meanwhile 'paperback' is a more modern material but I'm not sure.

I'm posting this in multiple similar subs, because the only way I feel we have any chance of making an impact is to just go for it.
We’re being told these “NHI” or whatever are psionic. I’m not a believer in that tbh, but I would have no problem participating from home, it can’t hurt anything.
If it’s real, getting large groups of us to just meditate and focus on peaceful loving thoughts of a desire for the NHI to reveal themselves to us, maybe something will happen.
I think a good way to go about this would be to create a new sub for those who want to participate. We could schedule it maybe every other Sunday for 30 minutes or something. We can work on these ideas together, but worst-case scenario, we all just lose 30 minutes of our time every 2 weeks.
If you’re interested in participating or being a mod in that sub, it’s ShowYourselves. The way I see it is the only reason not to do this is because it feels a little crazy. But we’re living in a world surrounded by crazy anyway.

Hey all, I'm a 26HLM and my partner is 25LLF. We've been "officially" together for a little over 2 years but fooled around before then (much more than we do now.) We live together too. At first our sex was great, the best I've ever had by far since I am not very experienced at all. Before we were official was when we had the most sex, the first year was still mostly good but then by year 2 it's almost completely dried up. Now it's maybe every 3-4 months or so that anything at all happens, and it's usually just me eating her out and I take care of myself later. Sad but true. And at this point, I even take that as a win.
Everybody thinks it's so obvious "just leave! You don't have kids so LEAVE!" and I get it. Some people have been in this situation for decades and 26 probly seems like a child to some of you. I get it.
But I still keep holding onto hope, maybe it's remembering how things used to be, or thinking of my partners past and how she used to be a lot more sexually active before me. Most of all I think I empathize, I see how anxiety, stress, body dysmorphia affect her ability to want sex. And I want to believe if she can find therapy and medication to work on these issues things might get better. I really believe in who she COULD be underneath all the struggles I still see the person I love and care about a lot, and who I had mind blowing sex with in the beginning several times a week. The last year was very unkind to us, and I think I turn to sex as an ESCAPE from stress, whereas my partner if she is the least bit stressed at all cannot do it. But stress is inevitable and always will be.
Right now I do everything to compensate. She isn't working right now and has again, a ton of anxiety and mental health troubles that make life difficult. I have largely taken over a caretaker role. I am the only one working right now and I also cook all our meals, shop, do the dishes, laundry pay all our bills etc. I don't want to sound like I am owed anything because I'm not, but it would feel nice to occasionally be shown that I'm still desired as MORE than just a provider or a safe bet. Often I can't even masturbate because she wants to always be next to me and I work, so I don't get any alone time either.
Am I stupid? Naive? I still love her and want this to work. I think if medical and financial problems were absent it would be close to perfect. I still see the person who I think is buried under the bullshit and she hasn't been able to find any medical help yet, but will very soon. Am I stupid for thinking this can work? Is it already too late?
You want to be there to support your partner especially in times of increased need, but how long can that go on? How long can I be the primary homemaker AND breadwinner and never even experience physical intimacy besides a quick kiss or a hug?
Has anyone experienced this with a partner who has higher support needs for a long period medical or otherwise? I feel like an asshole but I SHOULDN'T feel so rude for wanting sex with my girlfriend, right?
