Vou direto ao assunto, minha mae tem umas opiniões bem polemicas mais em fim ela pareçe uma criança mimada no corpo de uma adulta Motivo : nao aceita ter a opinião contrariada nao importa se estiver errada No dia 29 de janeiro eu tava conversando com ela e ela mencionou a maisa e disse que ela e pessima atriz e uma pessima pessoa eu perguntei "vc ja conviveu com ela pra saber" na mesma hora ela começa agritar e me chamar de chato insurportavel e que nao da para conversa comigo so pq eu defendi uma atriz que eu gosto e tem mais quando ela fala do meu cabelo me rebaixando e eu vou me defender ela acha ruim como se ela tivese direito de me reibajar ela odeia quando eu mencino o cabelo dela (ela passou tanto produto que o cabelo nem cresce mais) alem dela nao acreditar em neurodivergencia tipo TDAH autismo entre outros isso pra ela e besteira e quando menciono isso ela tem falas preconceituosas como "hoje em dia todo mundo e autista" odeio essas falas e quando tento aegumenta ela vem e grita me chamando de insurportavel uma vez numa viagem de carro ela tava conversando com a minha tia e ela memcionou que uma mulher do trabalho dela tinha uma deficiencia fisica (nao lembro qual) e ela disse que essa mulher tinha um namorado e ela engravidou dele a minha mae julgou o cara dizendo coisas tipo "ele se aproveitou dela" "ele nao viu que ela é assim" eu começei a falar que do jeito que ela tava falando a mulher parecia uma criança de 5 anos que nao sabe oque é certo ou errado minha tia que é professora explicou pra ela e ela disse que entendia mais continuou com as mesmas falas Gosto da minha mae mais ela em muitos assuntos e muito insurportavel e evito conversa pq ela sempre surta ou solta uma frase preconceituosa

Like for some f/f ship art I've seen more fluidity? Idk if that's the word but I've seen women look more masc looking and clothing and more muscular women in those fanart wheres as if you search fanart of the same female character with a man she looks more feminine looking with lesser muscles? The only time I seen it the way it is in f/f it's mostly a meme. And also, since it's f/f in fics, you get more dominant women than f/m fanfic and fanart, which is probably why I like f/f more sometimes.
Idk, it's just something I noticed. Or maybe I'm wrong. I'd like to see more of that "fluidity" (if that's the right word) in f/m stuff.

So i am telugu american and now realized i have had a very traditional telugu household compared to many other indian people i meet. I speak read and write telugu. Been watching telugu movies and listening to telugu songs for as long as i can remember. I barely knew a word of hindi except a few songs. Never watched a bollywood movie other than english vinglish (i think my parents were sridevi fans so we watched that)and never felt the need to coz most of my indian get togethers were with fellow telugu americans.
But things changed when i went to college. I had gujju friends before but didn't know a single thing about their culture or any north indian culture. I go to college with a significant indian presence and they all love only talking about bollywood films and songs. Many indians from india would assume i spoke or understood hindi and knew all bollywood references. They also had a bit of a disappointing reaction when i said can't even understand a word. There are so many things that are unfamiliar to me and my indian friends call me whitewashed for that. All other south indians i met mostly seemed to not be as clueless as me
It was just a weird feeling coz i ofc knew hindi influence is huge but i never felt it before. I didn't even know what garbha was. It was a huge culture shock and i felt really out of place with my indian friends.
Telugu pop culture is huge in india at the moment yet so many times fellow indians i met sometimes don't even know there's a language called telugu. Some even say vanakkam to me when i mention telugu. Some people think naatu naatu is a tamil song.
I know telugu isn't as big as hindi but punjabi and gujju culture is always more mainstream esp in america. and despite a significant telugu diaspora it is still relatively much more unfamiliar.
Even popular indian americans in pop culture are either punjabi, tamil or gujju though telugus out number both punjabi and tamil. Does anyone else feel underrepresented in the indian community?
Is this a common experience to my fellow telugu americans on this sub? I kinda feel compelled to know hindi to be accepted within "my own" community. I hate that the indian national language politics make it to USA too.
