I’ve rarely ever been a big drinker. These past 3 weeks I’ve been drinking more than I ever have. I’ll get a bottle of wine on a Saturday drink half of it then the other Sunday. It’s becoming a weekend habit. Is this something I should to be ashamed of? I don’t drink Monday-Friday, but since I’ve quit smoking weed on weekends (due to it causing more anxiety than relaxing me) I’ve seen to pick up this as a new habit. I’m just going through some shit at the moment in my life, doing this hopefully temporary to get me through. Would you consider this a drinking problem?

If I want to either inject capital into my corporation using funds from personal account, and/or repay a share holder loan (pay myself meaning Corporation -> Personal account), what methods do banks prefer?
Etransfer or Cheque?

2025.02.01 23:01 Best_Position4574 Windows 10 switched to using Windows Hello login (from nothing) and my startup programs usually don't start
I've been using Windows 10 for years and just having it auto login for years. Never had a problem with startup programs at all. I recently got a fingerprint reader and decided to enable Windows Hello login using that (or a PIN). I immediately noticed that my task bar was empty of the usual programs. Discord, steam, Razer mouse software. Everything except the windows stuff like network.
I searched for a solution, but it seems that some people have reported these symptoms but never connected it to Windows Hello. It would occasionally start some programs, and less occasionally start all programs, but based on this I never trusted everything had started. I have about 14 program icons in the system tray area. Usually I had zero start, sometimes a handful.
The logical first step is to ask for recently installed programs in the startup and conflicts. Sure, that could be a thing, except it really did start happening the moment I started using Windows Hello. To that end, I disabled Windows Hello login and now I again have all programs starting consistently.
I noticed this unanswered post from a month ago of someone else having the same problem. And I suspect posts like this and possibly this.
I believe something is wrong with at least Windows 10 when using Windows Hello to login to the computer. Not sure if it's in Windows 11 too.

Im in Western NY and the company I work for is attempting to have me work extra from home without being paid my hourly wage. I work a base pay + commission job. The nature of the work would allow me to potentially make a very small amount of commission through answering phone calls, but they refuse to pay me my hourly wage during this time. When I try to refuse because I don’t get paid, I’m told I have to do it and it is paid cause of the small amount of potential commission. From what I can tell through the internet this is fully illegal. However, I wanted to get opinions on here as I known legalities can can involve lots of intricacies. Is the is this allows with me not being a salaried employee?

I am currently on day 18. From the beginning I have used the technique of cutting off any and all erotic thoughts at the first opportunity that they arise, and I confess that doing this had been easy until now, but yesterday it felt like I was under attack, as if the intrusive erotic thoughts wanted to enter my mind. mind at all costs. I tried meditating, doing relaxation exercises, listening to music, but nothing helped, my head started to hurt from so much mental effort and I only managed to sleep after 3 am.
Today I woke up with less desire, thank God, but on the other hand I feel like crap, extremely stressed, discouraged and with depressive thoughts, and I wasn't like this before, as if living was shit and there was nothing for me in this world .
I really hope this passes and I don't have to fight like this forever, because it's extremely exhausting.

I'm currently a new grad who has been working on a telemetry unit since Nov 2024. I mark my 6 months in April, I wanted to get into the ICU as a new grad but wasn't able. My whole cohort struggled to get a job after nursing school because of how populated my city is. Literally everyone is an RN and my current hospital is so full they cancel nurses all the time. During nursing school we all thought hospitals were super short staffed but that's def not the case here. All the RNs on my unit are obligated to float to a step down unit atleast twice a month, since I'm new I haven't floated yet but when the step down beds are full we get step down patients on my unit. I care for patients who are a bit more critical in the sense that they are status step down instead of regular tele patients. I want to get into the ICU but idk how, I've applied to endless residency's and don't get in or the ones that do contact me don't offer ICU only medsurg. I can stay at this hospital and after 6 months if there's an opening in the step down, apply and then move up the ladder that way. I know I need to slow down and realize it can take a while to land the position you want, but I feel like I'm never gonna get there. I've looked at a few ICU positions in my area to get an idea and all of them require ICU experience. Has any nurse in medsurg/telemetry been able to switch to ICU despite all the obstacles??
