My partner and I just bought a house a few provinces away from my family. We have been excited to have friends and family come and visit us and already have a few house guests staying in the next few months. Originally my brother (family of 3) were going to come some time in August that we hadn't locked down yet. He asked this morning if my uncle and his family (4 people) could tag along as well. I told him we would discuss dates tomorrow. Then out of the blue I get a text from my mom this evening saying that she and her husband will be tagging along and told us they're coming August 24. They had discussed dates together (without even asking or speaking to us first). This felt really disrespectful and presumptuous. What if we can't get time off work? What if we had plans? We can't accommodate 9 people comfortably. What's the best way to go about this situation? We want to have everyone over, don't want drama, but also feel so pissed about the approach.

I asked randomly what I should do with my hair (I have long blonde hair) and I turned to her and said “would you still love me if I cut my hair?” And didn’t think much of it, half joking. until she turned back after thinking for a while and said “i would still love you, but I would buy you a wig - i don’t find short hair attractive”
Am I insane for being upset at that? Like I guess maybe it was light hearted but it felt so mean. I've been noticing how recently when we get in a car he's either completely silent or explosive about me being quiet in the car. A few days ago when we were on our way to school we were about to drive when he grabbed the collar of my shirt and peeked down, jokingly being like "are you hiding something" cause apparently I was acting suspicious. I was quiet on the way to school and back, and now when he gets into my room like with only a towel on or something I'm super angry and yell at him to get out. I feel so lost and I need someone to tell me if I'm dealing with this right. I feel like I can't go to my parents since my dad's gonna say it's just a joke and my mom favors my brother.
