My friend and I are planning a trip to Iceland this August (first time for both of us). We will be there around 9/10 days (still finalizing dates). We are both big hikers and wanted to focus on hot springs and outdoor adventures.
Day 1 - Travel Day Day 2 - Reykjavik Day Day 3 - Pick up car and drive to Reykjaldur for hike then Landmannalaugur Day 4 - Hike in Landmannalaugur then drive Skaftafell Day 5 - Skaftafell (glacier hike) Day 6 - Jokulsarlon Day (kayaking) Day 7 - Vik Day (rest day, beach walk) Day 8 - Fimmvorduhals Trail Day 9 - Travel day
Questions for you all: 1) Thoughts on this itinerary in general? Too ambitious? Or are we missing something major? Or something we should cut? 2) Things to do in Reykjavik? We heard 1 day makes sense on this timeline, let us know if there are top activities not to miss or if we should consider another day. 3) We are considering renting a camper van, but also seeing that most of them can’t drive on F roads. Any advice on if this itinerary requires much F road driving besides Landmannalaugur? And any thoughts on sleeping in a 4x4 or camping versus camper van and cutting F road destinations? Wondering how cold generally feels at night in August. Recommendations best car rental for price for 4x4 and camper vans welcome! 4) Any highly recommended activities in these spots? Any particular tour guides or groups you would go with!

I’ve seen him in 2022, 2023, 2024, and hopefully 2025. There have been huge changes in the 3 shows I saw. I’ve seen him in 2 stadiums and 2024 he added the light up wristbands, the intro kicking the wood, ‘98 braves bleachers and the album house, and the B stage. Is there any changes he can make to make it bigger and better? Obviously the set list will change drastically.

My girlfriend and I are looking for a place to rent. Our lease is expiring soon so we have a couple of months to find somewhere new to live. Our place right now is relatively expensive so we wanna move somewhere cheaper to save a little money. Ideally, we’d like to get a one bedroom but a studio works too. Where would you guys suggest we look? The closer the proximity to the school or a trolley stop, the better. We wanna pay around $2000 a month but anything lower or slightly higher would work okay too. Not looking to move into shared accommodation.

I have an appointment with my GP and I have a hard time saying what I mean and I saw an idea to write it down instead.
I have made sure it fits on to one page of A4
I am writing to request a referral to a specialist for an assessment regarding PTSD. Since the traumatic loss of both my parents and becoming orphaned as a child, I have struggled with significant emotional distress for over 20 years. Throughout this time, I have experienced persistent depression, social anxiety, isolation, avoidance, and recurring nightmares and intrusive images related to the trauma. I have kept these feelings to myself for many years mainly due to being a child when they started but they have greatly impacted my emotional well-being and daily life. Recently, I have noticed that fluctuations in my thyroid function have made it increasingly difficult to mask my emotions. The changes in my hormone levels I believe have intensified my symptoms and made it harder to manage both my emotional and physical health. This has further compounded the distress I’ve been experiencing. After opening up for the first time to anyone about these longstanding struggles me and my partner have come to realize that my symptoms align with PTSD. Given the significant impact these issues have had on my quality of life for over 20 years I would like to be referred to a specialist for a formal assessment and treatment.
Also I would like to be signed off sick as I think I am a danger to others at work.
- I struggle to absorb and retain information especially in stressful situations
- My anxiety makes it difficult to advocate for myself in conversations especially with authority figures
- I avoid conflict and to end conversations quickly I often agree to things I feel unsafe doing which makes me more anxious and has caused panic attacks
- My anxiety has made it impossible to report serious incidents at work in the past there has been times were I know something serious has happened but felt to anxious and intimidated to say any thing causing feelings of depression and low self worth
- Sometimes I dissociate when I feel overwhelmed
- I go mute and cant speak or nothing comes out when I try, I often freeze when being spoken to
- Feeling of being watched by others induces profuse sweating and panic
