In the U.S. there's a clearly related though gentler expression: "to toot." Mothers generally prefer children to say "toot" rather than "fart," as you can see on this Circle of Moms Question and answer page. It is a noun referring to the event of a break up, and is largely limited to romantic couples separating (or oddly enough, countries splitting into smaller countries). Break up can be used, and is more common. It also implies that nothing is lost. You're simply splitting things into tasks. Break down can be used, but is more uncommon. I don't know if this is the official term for it, but I found many results on Google images for the terms graph break and break symbol. break A zigzag on the line of the x- or y-axis in a line or a bar graph indicating that the data being displayed does not include all of the values that exist on the number line being used. It is certainly clear from that context that break one's head means to bleed from the head. I am not sure that this is (or was) an established idiom. NGrams certainly shows some usage for variants on the phrase: I suspect that most uses are referring to breaking the skin but I didn't check. If you're unsure then something like "I trust you enjoyed the break and are keen to start on the new year's projects" can avoid mentioning a particular holiday without sounding like you're avoiding it (there is a minority who consider anybody enjoying a holiday near Christmas that isn't Christmas to be a "war on Christmas" and get upset about ...
2025.02.02 00:45 Mission-Candle-2360 Goruck strap break-in question
Got my first Goruck today - a Ranger Green GR1 Slick. I really like the quality of the bag but have an issue with it and I'm not sure if it's just how the bag fits me.
The problem I am having is that the straps don't sit flat on my shoulders so all of the weight of the bag is put on the edges of the straps and it feels like they just want to move outwards. Needless to say having the narrow edges dig into my shoulders isn't really comfortable.
Does this sound like something that will go away as the straps break in or could it be more more of a result of how the bag fits on me?
I know a sternum strap would help but I don't think any are available that would work with the ranger green Slick.
I also tried adjusting how tight the straps were and that helped a little bit but didn't make the problem go away.
I'm just trying to decide if I should keep the bag or return it.

Idk if this is the right subreddit to post this, but it seems the only one which would talk about this, if not, feel free to remove my post.
I don't want to say it, but I've been watching Khan for so long and with his new setup and all, he still doesn't have time to upload.
I see on patreon his family has health problems, god bless them, no harm meant, but so many people donated for his new room so he can stream and people pointed out on his "strange" hiatuses.
Is it just me or is this like a scam? Like those stories on how he got spoiled. I highly doubt he'd fake those stories, but there's always a possibility.
I just wanted to point this out. I'm sure someone here noticed these things. Situations like this can only raise more questions.

Sabe, a gente cresce sendo considerado o mais inteligente da escola(eterna promessa)...mas a vida é cheia de surpresas...extrema pobreza e más escolhas... Cresci em minas, fiz meu ensino medio numa escola federal(estudava pra caramba e havia passado pra ganhar bolsa...coisa que demorou a ser paga e portanto eu tinha que subir morro pedalando por 40 min, jogar uma agua no corpo, engolir a comida e descer voado...quantas vezes quase fui atropelado nas curvas haha)
Ai a gente passa na federal...nao vai pra federal pq n tem ninguem pra bancar e fica com medo de passar fome caso o governo n pague a bolsa igual da ultima vez
Faz o fies e se endivida, pq sonha com auditoria...so consegue emprego que paga salario minimo comercial msm tendo curso superior...
Minha sorte é que falo ingles e uns anos atras inventei de tentar dar aula...acabou que hj dou aulas em grande parte online e valhe mais a pena que trabalhar num escritorio, ja que acaba pagando o msm mas n preciso sair de casa e gastar 4 horas do meu dia dentro daqueles onibus horriveis...se pagasse mais adoraria dar aula pro resto da vida, é muito divertido haha
Mas de uns anos pra ca abandonei o sonho de auditoria e to achando que a area policial é uma ideia melhor... especialmente a federal, mas se for pra PM ou PC to feliz tbm...
Mas chato saber que no Brasil tudo se resume a concurso e concurso... Normalmente o foco é so dinheiro...se bem que no meu caso se eu passasse pra agente federal e auditor acho que ainda assim iria pra agente hahaha parece mais legal.
