Hey hey, I just ordered a cheap T14 Gen 1 with a Core i5 10310U for like 150 dollars, mostly down to needing a laptop for some schooling and it generally being a good idea to have one anyways. Anything I should look out for on the repair front? Is it worth considering Linux? Been pretty damn annoyed by Windows 10 and don't wanna deal with 11's bloat. Thanks all.

Hello all, I am looking for friends and activities with people who don’t drink or do drugs, so frats are out. I am looking because I am just stuck in my apartment (sophomore who lives off-campus). I am a transfer and I am not making friends at all. I like to watch movies and very much enjoy shopping. I also like trying new foods and restaurants. I am lonely and in my second semester I am hating it. I unfortunately am very bad at sports. I do like walking. I am in a bunch of clubs and I want to expand but with no friends here it makes it miserable and depressing. I am very clean in terms of alcohol and recreational drug use. If anybody who is honest and sincere wants a friend I would be there for them. If there are leads, please let me know as well.

I'm not an introvert. But I'm wondering, how does it work? I see so many people saying that they are one - whether online or elsewhere - and for some people, it just seems like a funky personality trait (!!!for SOME people!!!) What's the science behind it. Can people change how they act? Can't you just go out there, and slowly learn be a chill guy instead of being all shy and stuff?
Shy = introvert?? Not going outside, not liking people = introvert???
I feel like some characteristics aren't healthy.

I’m currently working in supply chain, mostly using Excel. As soon as I joined, I automated some tasks with code and am continuing to do so. I enjoy working with Excel because creating formulas feels similar to coding, but I miss actual programming.
I have a CS degree and initially aimed for data roles, but I’ve realized I enjoy coding much more—even to the point where time flies when I’m doing it. I don’t have SWE experience, only data-related roles, and my college projects were mostly ML/DL-focused. I know DSA from school but haven’t applied it much since.
I want to transition into a developer role and can dedicate 6 months to preparing. An internal transfer is possible, so I want to be ready when the opportunity comes. My plan: • Spend 2–3 months building developer projects (suggestions welcome). • Revisit DSA and practice coding interviews.
I’m free full weekends and evenings after work. Any advice on structuring my prep and landing my first developer job (internal or external) would be greatly appreciated!

Hi guys can you help me on how to get forgiveness from god? Maybe you can hear that i am somewhat "new" (idk??) and i feel really disappointed about my sins and kind of hate myself or at least dislike myself for my sins and can't imagine how god can be that forgiving for somebody that sinfull. I think or at least hope that i became better in terms of sinning over the last few months but i more and more discover on how sinfull i am. How can somebody be THAT forgiving? Pls help me on how to ask for forgiveness, hopefully get forgiven and how to become better.
