Newish resident here. Anyone have experience with the car tax after moving to Manassas? I registered my car with the DMV back in December under Manassas City (moved to Manassas from Maryland in November). I haven't received any correspondence yet about paying the car tax for 2024, but the city's website says the car tax is "not pro-rated and is assessed on property owned as of January 1st". Should I be expecting a full bill for the car tax despite living here less than 60 days of 2024? The city website says it's billed in October, so is there a chance I get hit with a full 2024 and 2025 tax bill this fall? Appreciate any advice.

2025.02.02 01:50 Square-Tackle-9010 A Character Generator Wish Tied To "Templatization" of Videos: Thoughts, ideas, questions, etc?
Since the Fall I have been making two different weekly series of videos. Each video series uses its own template but the identifying logos and text to go along with the logos' content.
My "lightbulb" went off yesterday as I was doing my weekly slog through the updates:
- Keep a single active video project folder and assign generic file names based on the purpose/location of the graphic images.
- use these files in the video timeline.
- If I need to change the images the next week I can just do a universal change by renaming the graphic image in the project folder, and it will auto update in the project timeline. Yes I may need to tweak positioning and size, but that beats having to manually update each instance of the image in the timeline.
Changing text associated with the image in the timeline and background colors as well.
Attached are screen shots to show examples of how there are multiple instances of the images and the different text, positions, etc.
-- For the first title page, the position of thee team logos and names are based on who is the home team.
-- On the page comparing stats it is similar to- away team on the left, gone team on the right.
-- On the "in the crease" images, the logos repeat three times - in the header, on the top of the "trading cards", and in the background of the "trading cards" in watermark fashion.
If I were to use a dedicated character generator like Ross XPression, Chyron, or Viz I could have the update data in a spreadsheet and that would auto populate whatever graphic template I am using. Easy peazy. It would pull in logo/file names, text, color codes, etc.
But the Titles effects in Resolve is not a true character generator. As I have an XPression Designer license so I could theoretically do the graphics there. But as a solo "shop" I do not have the budget required to upgrade the licenses to allow me to integrate XPression with other solutions to use the graphics "real time."
Theoretically I could build the graphics in xPression and output them as AVI files using the same file naming convention approach described above. I have also toyed with the idea of integrating something with OBS. But these alternatives might could/would make the workflow painful and worse.
Has anybody faced a similar challenge with Resolve and how did you tackle it?
Is there some CG software out there reasonably priced that can interface with Resolve Studio?
