Hi, planning to transfer school after being dismissed from the blue school. May I please know your thoughts on DLSU? How is the retention policy? Is it hard to achieve? Iām starting to do more trail running and want something with a little more cushion and a little more traction than the Lone Peaks I love hiking in. Saw the new Mont Blanc Speed is available at a couple places online, just curious if anyone has tried it and has any opinions yet. I believe this is a renamed version of the standard/non plated Mont Blanc that has been getting phased out for a while?
Itās probably overkill for a daily trail trainer but Iāve heard great things about the Ego Pro foam and am anxious to hear how this new model performs.

I think she shouldn't have stole from Cleo or pushed Lewis into a relationship or manipulated people. but like? at this point in the season, she hasn't done anything worse than the mane 4, dare I say, she's kinda better (again, at this point in the show)? I love Cleo and Rikki and Emma but they tried getting Lewis fired, were very rude to Charlotte, were possessive of Lewis, amongst several other things.
I genuinely feel bad for Charlotte. she's kinda just normal. her boyfriend is constantly hanging out with his ex, keeping secrets, being weird, etc. if this was Rikki/Emma/Cleo everyone would be on her side.
I've seen people saying they hate her so much and like... even if she does become a villain later, I can kinda see why? she's treated so poorly for absolutely no reason other than existing. I think people just dislike her because of the fact that she's with Lewis. š¤·š½

2025.02.02 02:02 BIOSMonkey GE NX6 system and 2nd floor smoke lost after finishing basement
I've had this system for many years, most of which had the main panel in an unfinished basement under my stairs.
A year ago we finished the basement, and when everything was reconnected the panels started beeping and saying that the "2nd floor smoke lost".
I changed the battery, but it did not help.
My guess is that the signal between the upstairs smoke detector and main panel is now not strong enough to get through the added drywall (that would be a little disappointing since its really not that far, but again this system is pretty old).
I tried to look at the main panel board and manual for anything regarding signal strength but did not see anything at all on the wireless part. I am assuming the smoke connects to the main panel (versus through the panels), but just looking at the mainboard there is nothing that jumps out at me as to what it's even connecting to.
Any ideas?

I made a post on a different sub going into detail about the situation going on with my MIL and SIL. I'd recommend reading that, although it is lengthy, a lot happened and the details matter.
To condense the issue down as much as possible, I'll try and describe the original problem, the current problem, and where I stand: My SIL has had behavioral and mental health issues since 13. Running away multiple times, being sexually inappropriate and making bad decisions in that regard, drug and alcohol abuse, violating a restraining order to communicate with a "friend" of hers who has convinced her to do many of the bad decisions she's made, and sneaking phones when she's not allowed to have one/court ordered not to have one.
CPS and cops have been involved. There was little done there, she's gone through therapy, medication, juvy/detention type place, living with her biological dad (who wasn't present in her life much at all), and it's like a cycle. Her parents give her a phone after so many months of good behavior, just for her to flush it down the drain. MIL is not innocent here, I do believe she is a toxic person. I don't know what she's like behind closed doors, but what I do see, I'm not a fan of.
My husband got called over to MIL's house because SIL wouldn't hand her phone over. She had been talking to the friend there's a restraining order in place to keep them separated, she knew there was proof on the phone and didn't want MIL to see it. MIL was drunk, started two fights with SIL and husband had to break both up. MIL changed the locks on the house, told SIL she can go wherever, she doesn't care anymore.
SIL is currently staying with a friend, not the one with the restraining order. She's not in public school; she has been doing school online. She got a job that was close to the friend with the restraining order, but with no transportation, I don't think she can keep the job. I don't think she even started the job yet, she just got hired.
With all of that being said, my husband and I offered a room at our house. She seems less than interested in that. What she's mentioned wanting is to be voluntarily emancipated. I don't know the ins and outs of emancipating, but what will even become of her if that happens? She's living with a friend who's her age, they're in that friend's family's home. It'd take nothing for her to get kicked out. I'm sure it's not a permanent living situation for SIL. Those people have no responsibility over SIL.
I don't know her that well. I've known her for five years, and most of those my husband and I were living in a different state. I do care for her though. I'm worried about her. I've messaged her to let her know she's more than welcome to have a room at our house, we'll get her a bed, we already have a frame. I told her we want her here with us.
She genuinely does not care for her safety. She's gotten herself into so many dangerous situations, she is incredibly reckless and careless. She's gotten into a random car to hitchhike, she's runaway with people she barely knows, she's stolen a family member's car, she's done drugs, she's had unprotected/reckless sex.
I knew her before all of this, she was not always like this. I know she still has that good kid still in her. I know she needs someone on her side, but she isn't going to like it because she isn't going to get what she wants. If she lived with us, we'd either let her continue the reckless behavior and give her what she wants or actually give a shit and prevent it. I do believe she would thrive in a house with adults who are stable, don't drink, don't pick arguments or fights, don't pick at her, and who... would just treat her with respect.
I don't think she'll accept the offer, especially after the rules being explained in detail. I care about her; I'm watching a girl destroy her life before it's even started. But what the fuck can I do?
