I’m confused
Hello everyone. I’d like to hear what your opinions are for my current situation. I need something concrete to explain to the doctor if I decide to go.
Preface: Early 20’s male; 129 pounds; bipolar 2 diagnosed; only medication is Lamotrigine 100mg.
Over the last 3 months I started to have mostly random spells of nausea, that at first, were just an annoyance and would go away. But, the last three weeks have been hell for me. Every day, without fail, I’ll have a random spell of intense nausea and vomiting, shakiness, hot, racing heart, dizziness, tingling sensation in random parts of my body, and dry mouth/throat. Sometimes the nausea will last all day until it peaks, or I won’t have any nausea until the intense part.
At first I thought I was having a reaction to certain foods, so I started experimenting. I was leaning towards a possible Celiac disease, but I can’t tell. I’ve eaten bread my whole life so idk why it would suddenly give me issues. Now I’m monitoring my blood sugar, but it doesn’t seem high enough to be dangerous. (The highest was 131 after 1 hour after eating).
It seems this problem just gets worse day-by-day.
EDIT:// I completely forgot to mention that I’ve lost a significant amount of weight unexpectedly over the last few weeks. I started at 140, and now I’m at 129 as of last night. And what’s funny is I’ve been trying to GAIN weight.

2024.11.25 02:00 ScottyArrgh What Dyno Numbers Actually Mean
I've seen a number of times here people talking about chassis dyno numbers and making interpretations on what those numbers mean, and it got me thinking that maybe there's some misconceptions about what is going on here.
Dyno Numbers Are Not Absolute
If you get your car dyno'd, and it comes back with a number, this number is a suggestion on roughly how much power is being put down. One must understand that it is not scientifically accurate, and if the dyno hasn't been calibrated or the operator is either making mistakes or purposefully using parameters to alter numbers, it may be wildly inaccurate.
Proof of this is very simple to come by -- run the car back-to-back on the same dyno. Are the numbers identical? No. They change. First Red Flag. If you go to the dyno in the shop next door...are the numbers the same? No. In fact, they could be wildly different. Second Red Flag. Do your dyno run today, wait a couple months for the weather to change, do another dyno run. Are the numbers the same? No. Third Red Flag. Just for fun, ask your dyno operator to change some params so that you hit a specific number...and watch it happen. Fourth Red Flag.
We cannot use chassis dyno numbers as some gold standard. Just because Shop A makes some number, and Shop B makes some number, does not mean the car is actually making this power, nor does it mean the car is over- or under-rated for power from the factory. There are 100's of variables that go into producing this number and if any of those variables change, the number will be different. The fact that this is not repeatable should make it obvious that one is not meant to live and die by chassis dyno numbers.
Chassis dyno numbers are meant to be used as general comparison to delta change. For example: let's say you have a car that puts down about 240 whp on this run. You make some change, like a bigger turbo, fueling, larger IC, and an appropriate tune. You later run this car and now you get 320 whp. Does this mean your car makes 320 whp? Not necessarily. It's just what happened to be measured given this current circumstance. What is relevant, however, is that there is a marked increase in power after you did your new parts. This is what chassis dynos are for. They are to measure the effect of parts changes. They are for measuring the DELTA CHANGE. They are not meant to give a single, repeatable accurate measure of wheel horsepower.
And we know this because:
- The number changes depending on what brand dyno is used
- Drivetrain loss significantly impacts these values, and drivetrain loss is notoriously hard to calculate (google challenge: find any legit source that explicitly states a value for drive train loss on any car, and has documentation to back it up)
- The number changes based on the weather, parameters, operator error
- Some cars, such as the GR Corolla, have had problems with even getting numbers on a dyno -- Fifth Red Flag
What IS accurate are engine dynos. These are dynos where the engine is removed from the car -- in other words, ALL variables are removed. The engine is placed in a special room that is precisely controlled, and it is run repeatedly through ranges. The power output at the crank is measured, and since it is accurate, this is what ALL car brands use to market their automobiles. Not one car brand uses a chassis dyno to market numbers, because these numbers are unreliable from an accuracy perspective. The number from an engine dyno is consistent and repeatable. The number from a chassis dyno is NOT.
So for anyone that is about to draw some conclusion solely based on what a chassis dyno number was, or what some shops may have gotten for dyno numbers, keep in mind that your conclusion is most likely incorrect because you are basing it on a unfixed, constantly changing, ever-shifting number. So your conclusion is as strong as your foundation (the dyno chassis), meaning it's not strong.
There is a reason that automotive performance journalist magazines (such as Car and Drive) do NOT post chassis dyno numbers. Sixth Red Flag.
There is a reason that car brands NEVER publish chassis dyno numbers, even though they are fully capable of running a car on a chassis dyno. Sevent Red Flag.
If you want to compare potential performance between different cars, solely using dyno numbers is about the worst way to do it -- remember, these numbers easily shift and change, and are not actual accurate measurements. A better method is to use something like quarter mile times, 0-60, etc. -- there's a reason these measurements have been used for over 70+ years and chassis dyno numbers are not used at all.
This isn't a hot take or anything, and many of you may already know this. I just see how we seem to be using chassis dyno numbers, and the understanding of what these numbers are based on appears to be sometimes missing. I'm trying to help make things clearer.

Hi, I really need to talk. I (F) have loved a man for over three years, and I need some help. This is going to be long, and I might be an asshole for this post. I met a man, lets call him Chad in 2021. We met on accident, through mutual friends. When we met he was pretending to be a girl (it was through discord), and I had just came out of the mental hospital so we became best friends. I started dating this person back in 2021 for a week, before they broke it off with me. During that time one of our mutual friends discovered the girl who he was claiming to be, and her pictures he was stealing. After I confronted him he blocked me and didn't talk to me for a year. I didn't want this at the time as I told him I didn't care and I still wanted to be friends with him (we remained friends after the break up). I tried everything to get him back. A year later he texted me and apologized for everything. He told me his name and we started talking again, we never really got to be best friends again until this year. Over the last few years I have still loved him. Back in February we became very close. We started flirting and talking so much, the only problem? He lives in the Netherlands and I live in America. During that time I really started to fall in love more. I realized that this man was perfect for me. He was everything I ever wanted and needed. He understood me in ways no one else did. He was there for me whilst I was addicted to pills. He was there when I was getting sober. He was there for everything. He liked me back during the time (I think). We would tell each other that we loved each other. He told me I was his favorite person. I dreamed about flying to the Netherlands and meeting him. I dreamt about the family we would have. Then suddenly he started getting distant. He slowly stopped talking to me. Then one day he stopped talking to me all together. Part of my heart broke, but I sort of moved on. I still missed him so much. I still loved him. I became depressed and I just didn't understand why he would do this. Then, suddenly in June, he texted me that he couldn't get me out of his mind, and that he was sorry, that he tried to move but he couldn't. I promptly texted him back and he explained that he couldn't keep staying up till three AM to text me. It was taking a toll on him. That's why he ghosted me. We slowly started to talk again. Messages here and there. Then today I decided to text him and he responded. We ended up calling and I suddenly remembered why I loved him so much. I was slammed in the face with the fact I missed him so much. How he treated me. Everything. He told me he likes a girl he has an internship with. I of course told him to make a move and gave him pointers, but of course I was dying inside. I felt so jealous and sad. Now here is the part where I might be the asshole. I am bisexual. I am dating a girl. I love her so much too, I want to be with her, she is everything to me, perfect. But I also love him. So, so, so, fucking much. It actually hurts. I really do not know what to do. I want him back. I wish that he lived near me. I wished I could date them both at the same time. I really do not know what to do. I love my girlfriend. I love Chad. I need help. I just can't let him go. Another problem is that I don't get this in love to many times. I will have a crush one someone, but then get bored in a week. He is the only person that I have loved romantically for over a year. I have loved people for a few months, but never this long, I always get bored. I love my girlfriend, the way I love him. So I just feel stuck.

What does not work is repeatedly trying to earn a person’s affection through performing often unrequested actions and then getting upset when they don’t give you what you want.
When a pursuer gets angry, upset, aggressive, or forceful in anyway, then their persistence will make the other person feel uncomfortable. Their neediness, obsession and desperation will chase and/or scare the other person away.
When a pursuer is unashamed about his desires, respectful of the other person’s choices and does not need anything back from the other person, then their persistence can be found attractive since it demonstrates that they are confident, self-assured, and know what they want.
