2024.11.25 03:03 Darkside8395 The greatest achievement is to inspire another, and Ye has inspired me and so many others
When I first started to really get into ye, I was entranced by his music, obviously sonically, but also what the songs stood for. I listened to interviews and his speeches, and heard him elaborate on his art. What made me admire him the most is his willingness to stand by his art, and say what he felt. Obviously it has hurt him, and he’s been wrong about a few things in particular.
But there was one interview, he sat down and said he stood up to drug dealers, and told them to kill him if they wanted his stuff to their face. It was that fire to exist, to stand up and defend his work. He went on about how so many creatives are made to sit in a box, get beat up, or discounted because they aren’t the same. I was so inspired by that in particular, and I took the idea I should not let anyone make me change, I need to stick up for my ideas, and what I want to create. I feel no shame in saying “this is my idea, and I am sharing it” even if people think it’s stupid. One day I wanna make video games, telling stories and spreading my ideas through that medium to move people and to have them associate with ideas and topics I feel should be talked about through this art form. And I’m now willing to freely say this is what I want, and I’m willing to fight for it.
I look around at this community, and see all the creativity brimming in so many people, and look at the other communities and don’t see this same level of creativity and liberty in expressing what we see. No other artist really inspires people to make these big community spaces, of which there are multiple large ones that all split into subcommunities and all have expressed so much creativity and positivity. And we all support it, foster it, and allow each other to grow. In fact, I’ve seen arrangements made for an album, the third time someone in gas history has been inspired to work with all the others here to create something. The talent on display in GAS, TTW, and other spaces in this fanbase is genuinely impressive, and ye’s fight and fire has inspired so many here to stand up and freely pitch what the feel and see to the crowd.
In another interview, ye said he wants to be forgotten, to have a legacy so ubiquitous, we forget who made it, like the inventor of the sidewalk. And while I highly doubt his albums and numerous musical achievements will ever be forgotten any time soon, his greatest legacy will likely be unsung, forgotten, and invisible. The generation of people, creative and full of imagination, with their heart on their sleeve, to burst into life, to not take any trash from anyone, and pitch what they envision to the world and make it a better place. To create freely, to not be bothered by those who suppress creativity because it’s different and they might not like to hear it. His greatest legacy will likely be forgotten, and hard to attribute to him, but it is his. The legacy of fearless creators, unburdened by what society has to say.

2024.11.25 03:03 Phat_MTB Question about symmetric balls
Over the last year and a half I have bowled in leagues at two different bowling alleys. One is a high friction house and one has a good bit of oil on the lanes. I have purchased several balls over this time period and I have notice that I don't roll symmetrics very well. The only symmetric I bring on league night now is a purple hammer that I shoot my right side spares with. Symmetric balls seem to be very over under for me while asymmetricals seem to be more consistent and better rolling. I throw the ball around 14.5 mph at the pins and my rev rate hovers around 300. Does anyone else have this issue with their symmetrical balls?

2024.11.25 03:03 Ok-Owl3819 Dog won’t stop having accidents
We have had our dog for about 1.5 years now. Shes potty trained, never had accidents, is a great dog. We recently moved and since then she has multiple accidents every day, especially with poop. At first I figured it was just her adjusting to the new place, but we've lived here over a month and it still happens daily. We take her outside plenty of times and she goes when we take her. We take her on leash and off leash. I am at my wits end with cleaning up messes. Please help. Nothing in her life has changed other than our house.

2024.11.25 03:03 Final_Fondant_412 Stuck in HR Hell with my useless degree...
23F. Long story short, I was studying English secondary education in college, but dropped the education part of my dual-major due to family issues and mental health struggles. I did not enjoy teaching, and have no plans to return to the field.
I currently work as a Payroll Bookkeepe HR Generalist (my first 'real job' out of college). My work consists mainly of tedious, repetitive clerical tasks. I've been at this position for a year, and I swear my brain has atrophied from the lack of stimulation. While I don't hate it, I feel far from fulfilled and I don't see myself pursuing a career in Human Resources or Accounting.
I would love to work a job that allows me to be more creative or analytical: basically something where I need to actually think. Unfortunately, I don't have many qualifications. I wasn't focused on internships in college because honestly, I was under the impression that as an ed major, I was guaranteed a teaching position as long as I passed my clinicals. It wasn't until I actually started student teaching that I realized that I hated the job, but didn't have much of a backup plan. I ended up securing a couple of internships. One was in 'content curation' at an academic journal (mostly bs), and the other was in 'marketing' at a textbook sales company (absolutely bs).
Despite having some fodder for my resume, I feel behind my peers. I'm still living in my college town due to the price of rent, which sucks, but the only other option was moving back in with my parents. I have wild, aspirational dreams of living in NYC (closest city in my area), but to do so I'd need to make much more than my current salary ($50k). I don't consider myself a materialistic person, and tend to be pretty frugal, but I want to be able to live without roommates after 30.
I don't know what 'path' I should go down. I've considered getting a certification or even going back to school, but I'm wary of once again choosing something based on my own romanticized view of the job (seeing myself as Robin Williams in 'Dead Poets Society') versus the reality of the field (having to actually discipline children).
I enjoy the idea of copywriting, but I'm scared of putting in the effort to build a portfolio just to be locked out of any entry-level job because of AI. Working in publishing would be a dream, but from what I've heard, it's a hyper-competitive field that doesn't pay well. I've been looking at Legal Assistant jobs, but I'm worried I'm not going to find a gig that pays more than my current salary. I see all of these wonderful postings for jobs that I believe I would be good at, jobs like 'Editorial Assistant' and 'Researcher', but I can't even motivate myself to apply because I feel like they'll just turn me down anyway due to lack of experience. I'm horrible at networking because I'm not sure how to 'sell' myself. I'm awkward, neurotic, and lack charisma.
Does anyone have any advice? What would be the best field to pivot into from my current job?

2024.11.25 03:03 Starbucks_Fan Help - Character traits
I am writing a story, where there’s a love interest between my main protagonist and his neighbor in his apartment complex. A girl who’s literally and figuratively running from her past. She’s guarded, defensive, often avoids direct questioning. But when she’s around my protagonist, she finds her self subconsciously opening up, allowing behaviors she normally buried down due to her uncomfortable and traumatic past. The scene in particular I am struggling with, is a quick scene, in the middle of the night they find themselves both outside their apartments in the backyard for different reasons: shes listening to podcasts in her chair, he’s getting ready for a night shift and stepped outside for a drink of coffee and some fresh air before leaving. Then they get to talking. I’m struggling with how to show these traits about her in dialogue and mannerisms, effectively making a reader, get these hints and subtle clues about her without being direct.
I’ve never met someone like that personally and I feel like I’m really struggling with how to convey these emotions and behaviors with her in dialogue and through mannerisms. Can someone give me advice?

2024.11.25 03:03 smithkevin92 Skating issues (update)
They really need to go back to 24 skating. Don’t get me wrong the L2 trigger for puck control is awesome and makes a difference but now it’s still causing my skater to auto back skate even with it turned off in the menu settings, BAP settings, and in-game settings. I already showed EA_Aljo and all I got was “I passed it on for you”. That was 26 days ago with an update already put in. I’m about to just put my 360 in my living room and play NHL 15 aka Ultimate Edition because this is ridiculous

2024.11.25 03:03 assembly_learner AGI and floaters
From what I've been reading, experts are optimistic that AGI (artificial general intelligence) is just around the corner (2030 at the latest) and I believe this could be extremely helpful for us in the future.
The point is - I keep seeing posts about people feeling depressed/suicidal and I want to stress that we could very well be on the verge of something HUGE, even ASI (artificial super intelligence) - which would probably find solving a problem like eye floaters to be trivial.
With Pulsemedica and everything else we have to look forward to, just HOLD ON and don't give up. The future could be far better than we imagine.
