i’m in child development and i took the realcare baby home for 4 days. this was a very bad experience for me and i experienced symptoms of postpartum depression.. that’s how bad it was. i am not in the right state mentally and it was a VERY bad idea to take this baby home. i cried every day. i was too tired to get up and open my eyes. i had bad anxiety because i thought i killed the baby. i blamed everything on myself and somehow convinced myself i wasn’t fit to be a parent and i don’t deserve a baby. this lead me into a deep sad hole

2024.11.25 04:00 ks168 COD Stuck on Applying Updates

I play on PC and via xbox gamepass. I'm running windows 11. Every time there is a COD update, I am stuck in a loop of launching the game and getting stuck on the "applying updates" screen. I have resorted to just completely uninstalling the game and reinstalling and crossing my fingers it works. I have no idea why this happens or what to do to fix it. Anybody have any tips?

I mean, not normally.
This one sucks. We lost my step daughter this month. Her mother lived far away so she was with us for every Thanksgiving and nearly every Christmas for the last 23 years or so.
We wouldn’t have probably had her with us this year anyway, although maybe. We moved across the country right when she started getting sick. We didn’t know then that it would be fatal of course.
I was ok with missing this year’s holidays with her and my other adult kids, because I figured there will be other ones in the future.
We had our Thanksgiving dinner tonight for reasons… and it was hard being without all my adult kids, but even more hard missing my step daughter knowing it’s forever.
Damn this isn’t fair.
Christmas is going to suck too. It was the only time I could get off work to go back and have a memorial service for her.
I’m so mad that I can’t just take some time to fall apart. All I want to do is fall apart for a bit. Not go to work. Not have to deal with all the day to day shit. Just spend a week or so laying in bed with the covers over my head.
There should be a law requiring bereavement leave from work and a grace period for everything like getting your bills paid and all that mundane shit when an immediate family member dies. Oh, sorry my payments a couple weeks late, someone died. Oh, it’s ok, don’t worry about it. Take care now.

Ok so I am relatively new to the emulator scene. I played some back in the past on standalone emulators but not much. I installed retroarch on my desktop (Win 11) because of its ability to play more than 1 specific console.
My problem is I dl'ed the rom of one of my favorite games and imported it but when I go to try and run it I get an error. Hopefully the pictures explain my issue. I know I haven't installed a bios yet or where to install it where the system will notice them. Can anyone tell me what my problem is here? TYIA
