Is it weird that I can do a dumbbell press with 35 kg (17.5 kg in each hand), yet I can't do 2 full push-ups? I can lift 50 kg on the leg extension machine, but my max squat is only 40 kg. I can pull 5 plates on the lat pulldown, but I can't do a single pull-up. What could be the reason? I weigh around 70 kg.

I know LinkedIn is supposed to be this professional platform, but honestly, it feels like a giant competition where everyone’s trying to one-up each other. Don’t get me wrong, it’s great for job hunting and networking when you actually need it, but the day-to-day? Exhausting.
Every other post is someone announcing some insane achievement:
- “I just solved 500 LeetCode problems in one week while simultaneously building a startup and mentoring 50 students!”
- “Here’s a thread on the 300 skills you NEED to master before turning 25, or you’re a failure.”
Instead of inspiration, I just feel drained. I log in, and I’m bombarded with jargon, humblebrags, and this weird culture of perfection. It’s like everyone’s racing to prove they’re smarter, more productive, or more “inspirational” than the next person.
Anyone else dealing with this? How do you handle it? Do you just avoid LinkedIn entirely, or have you figured out how to use it without getting overwhelmed by all the noise?
Also, shoutout to the people on this subreddit for being real and focusing on improving skills instead of trying to look cool for clout. You guys are awesome. 💪

2024.11.25 10:39 Cappriciosa Intel i9 or Ryzen9 for a professional work computer?
I am not a gamer, this PC will never be used for gaming. The company is paying for it so it's irrelevant to me if one is cheaper than the other. The computer will be used for orchestral music production with VSTs, an insanely CPU-intensive task and moderately RAM-intensive. My main interest is that it lasts many years without much decrease in performance.
Looking through forums comparing intel and AMD all I hear is how much AMD runs on (insert video game) and how much cheaper it is, these are the only two arguments ever, two things that are irrelevant to my situation.
I am looking at an Intel i9 14th gen or an AMD Ryzen 9, depending on the responses here. Fanboys of either brand need not reply. Thank you in advance.

I got a call from my uncle saying his number is hacked. "Pm kisan check.apk" is being sent across all group and contacts from his WhatsApp.
People called and informed him about the messages sent from his number. He stopped using his phone and the number.
Is the phone hacked? How to handle the situation. He sent a message from a different phone to all the groups and contacts asking them not to click on the app.
Do we have to contact cyber security to deal with the phone ?

Hello, I recently bought a cyberpower pc from Best Buy, had the 7800x3d and a 4070super, I was playing BO6 on it and it just kept crashing/freezing every minute or so and I couldn’t even pull up task manager. I’m running a dual monitor set up, main monitor i play in 1440 at 144fps on most games. Other monitor is a 1080 I use to watch twitch or discord. I decided to take that one back and got a Asus with a 14700kf and 4070 super, runs great no issues. I know pre-built get a bad rep.Sorry for the long story. My questions are
- Should have I just returned the 7800x3d for the same thing? Maybe it was just a crap part somewhere. I know everyone brags up that and why I bought it
- Should I take back the Asus and just build my own? Best Buy said I pick out all the parts and geek squad for build it for me. Or I can watch some videos and wing it.
- Was running twitch and gaming at the same time to much for the AMD?
