How would you guys say "La carne de burro no es tranparente" In English? My try is " You make a better door than a window", but I don't know if there's a better way to say this. Any suggestions? 2024.11.25 13:18 DonMatteo13 First day of PSVR2 - Struggling to use
Hi everyone, So like many I found a good deal on the PSVR2 during the black Friday sales and so given all the praise I see a lot of VR owners give the systems I thought I'd give it a go. I also got a deal on some prescription lenses so I wouldn't have to wear my glasses with the headset and was very eager to receive everything to get playing. The prescription lenses came today so it was time for me to unbox everything and give it a go.
I played about 2 to 3 hours tonight and I have to say I am really struggling to find the 'sweat spot' and enjoy using the headset. I don't know what it is but the sweet spot for me seems to be extremely narrow. Only when I am directly looking in the dead centre is it clear while everywhere else is completely blurred (ie, I can't even read the setup text when you're doing the IPD alignment). Even if I get the text to a somewhat readable state and try to lock in that spot with my headset, as soon as I take my hands off it it moves and gets blurry again (so if I'm not physically holding the VR against my face with my hands I can't get it clear).
I tried to set it up as best I could and I went through 'before my eyes'. I really enjoyed the story of the game (despite no trophies popping - so seemingly the trophy list is still glitched), but I was just taken out every 5 or so minutes due to either the text on the screen appearing blurred (at the beginning of the game so I was unable to actually read what it was saying and the credits being blurred at the end too), or the central dot not actually being aligned at eye level. I tried centring the screen but it also put the screen slightly above my eyeline. This made me assume I should pull the headset down slightly but it just mad everything more blurred. so basically for the segments where it wanted me to look down (piano playing past) I actually had to had my eyes and head below the piano keys so the dot would line up with the keys (which would then cause the headset to move slightly even thought it was fastened tightly making everything a bit more blurred). So for the 2 or so hours going through it I was just taken out with constantly touching and adjusting the headset.
This was also the case with the prescription attachment lenses off so I know it's not the lenses. Also the slight movements forward in the game made me a bit queasy as did moving in kayak VR (could literally only play it for 5-10 minutes [But yes I understand I don't have my VR legs and need to build that tolerance so not bringing that up as an issue to be diusucssed just yet]))
So my questions to the community are: Is this the usual growing pains with VR and I should stick with it? or is this an extreme circumstance where my body and eyes (given my glasses script) just can't adjust and the medium just isn't for me? If people should think I should stick with it, is there any other additional tips to increase picture clarity and overall comfort (please assume i've watched the top 15 YouTube videos on reducing blurriness and increasing comfort and know all those tips already).
Am I expecting too much in terms of 'clarity' and should lower my expectations for what parts I'm seeing should actually be clear? Does anyone have a reference image they could send that should indicate what I should be happy with being clear and what is usually blurry for all users?
Is there a better way to centre the screen so it doesn't feel like when I hold the options button to reset the screen and centre me, its not slightly above my eyeline?
I really want to be optimistic with the system because I can see the potential so I really want to stick with it but if it continues how today's experience was I sadly think it isn't for me, so any help would be greatly appreciated!

i had a dream last night that i was on a crowded train and an old couple sat next to me. the second they appeared i was hit with a distinct smell of sweat, mothballs, dirt, and probably some other stuff, it lingered a bit even when i woke up. this made me realize that i don't recall having ever actually smelled anything in a dream before, i assumed it was one of those things you just can't do like using your phone. but now i'm curious, has anyone else had interesting experiences with dreaming about smells or do are you consistently able to smell in your own dreams?

I have a lvl 16 townhall with max level artillery, I have not placed the new buildings (The hero hall and someother building).
When ever I click on upgrade townhall and click on the amount required, the game crashes instead of showing the proper error message.
I know I could just place the buildings to fix the issue but still, it is a minor Glitch and I wanted to report it

2024.11.25 13:18 Unhappy-Land-3534 Where did the bad design take root?
I remember this question came up during Volound, Legend, and Apollos conversation and I found it pretty interesting.
I personally think it happened when replenishment became free/passive. This mechanic really removes the incentive to keep your army strong and removed an interesting decision making dynamic of retreat/advance.
If you took heavy losses in M2TW, you needed to return a unit to a settlement that can recruit that unit in order to replenish it, at far reduced cost compared to recruiting a new one. Managing this and deciding whether it was worth it to do so or to just merge/disband was a much more interesting choice and pulled you into the mind of a military campaign planner.
The new system is "gamefied", if you conquer a province you instantly get replenishment in that province for free. There is just very little incentive to interact with this branch of decision making. Only in extreme cases would I consider a retreat with my army to replenish troops, as it just happens passively for you as you play it's enough to just ignore and keep doing whatever else you were doing, conquering.
I skipped empire and went to shogun 2 from mtw2, so not sure if Empire had it, but I remember this being an issue in S2.
So here's why I think this is the real root of all the problems in modern total war, Free/passive replenishment changes the economic system to favor cheap troops that take high losses and replenish fast. This puts an artificial hand into the tactical area of the battles, and necessarily requires balancing around.
Essentially, you are incentivized to have early armies of the cheapest possible units to exploit free and fast replenishment, and later on only the most expensive units, as they will replenish for free and in any province you own, regardless of recruitment availability in that province. This just completely destroys any potential for unit diversity and tactical depth in the game at a core level, because even if a "mid tier" unit is good, it's just not economically viable to invest in. It also destroys strategic army movement decision making, how far do I campaign? How far do I push my troops? Can my economy afford to replace losses? Doesn't matter, just take one province anywhere and you start replenishing for free.
Disagree? What are you guys opinions on where it all went wrong?

Im więcej pracownik dostaje na rękę tym mniej pracodawca musi realnie płacić na pracownika.
Składkę za siebie płacą tylko raz, a pracownicza za każdego pracownika. Wiec nie rozumiem czemu nigdy nie postuluje się zrównania I OBNIŻENIA składki zdrowotnej do tego samego poziomu zarówno dla pracodawcy i pracownika.

I think I know, but can someone confirm or let me know what I’m missing.
To do an airport gig, all you gotta do is park in short term parking right? And pay the fee when you leave, but submit a pic of the parking fee as an “expense” correct? Of course go to where they have the luggage to give you.
I got approved to do lost luggage deliveries, but have not had a chance yet.
From what I remember, what I stated above is as simple as it is.

Recently got a new shell for my pro controller that gives it the octagonal stick gates like a gcc, so far it feels great and helps me a lot with my inputs. Was hoping it would allow me to reverse/turnaround dtilt. I'm finding that it wasn't my input, you just can't seem to input dtilt the other way, it only allows you to do a turnaround ftilt. Just curious if anyone else has ran into this and what their solution is. I figure I need to do an actual turn around with left stick, but if they're a way you can set up the stick sens to allow this, I figured I should ask just in case. For rivals 2 btw.
