I (24f)stupidly pushed myself while stretching for the splits because i was barely an inch from the ground, and then my right hip popped. It was very sore the first night and some stabbing pains, but as the week has gone on it has gone down to more of a dull pain that is worse in the morning. Also when i bend over into forward fold or to pick something up it hurts. I am just really concerned because I have been working very hard on my flexibility and have made so much progress with my range of motion and not having my joints pop anymore. I have put myself into really good shape and do yoga/ dance daily, which i have still been doing just not pushing myself, which has been annoying. Im wondering if this sounds more like a serious tear or just swelling in the hip that will go away with time and gentle stretching?
