I have an OCD father who had rage & verbally abused me constantly growing up especially during my adolescence and who had been always absent (when he’s there he abused me or he’s not there). I also suspect he had some NPD traits but I’m not sure on this one. He’s extremely selfish; he’d say it in front of me “I never like children”; he also cheated on my mother (although I’m not sure if she knows but I found out but I didn’t tell her) and constantly picked fight with her. (My mom is literally one of the best moms out there, made all the sacrifices to raise me and carry on the burden from our family etc. She saved me as she’s super healthy, secure, stable, balanced. If not her I’d for sure be dead by now or at least much much worse than now. But my mom is not very feminine, very cool mom not sure if this has to do with my problems.)
I have some borderline traits, haven’t been diagnosed but I think when I was in my adolescence, I definitely had it: I self harmed like crazy because of the abuse; often had suicidal ideation; always unstable, intense, impulsive, high and low all the time; eating disorder (later). It didn’t help that I had moderate ADD since childhood.
Do any of you think the type I fell for (needless to say none of them lasted and all ended quite badly even if I tried all I can to save the short lived relationships) had to do with my father? If so, how should I treat myself or what I can do to make myself choose the types that would be good for me.
Am I unconsciously self sabotaging as well?

I've had 2 female bettas for a while now in a 18L tank as that's what the store gave me and I wasn't there at the time of purchase. They said it would be fine for them both in their together but after searching into it, it's not a great idea. So I'm looking at making a new one very soon for them both. Would a 25L tank for 2 female bettas be enough? my shelf can't really hold more than that sadly.
If not, then I could always just make the 25L put one betta in their and keep the other in the current one.

I am currently in my third year but I am graduating a year early (SP25) and I think having a cat would solve so many things for me but I am scared I won't be able to take care of the cat enough. I live off campus and am scared that the cat will be alone at home and bored and sad and I want my cat to be happy and joyful. I also want to spend enough time with the cat but am scared that I will be too distracted by the cat (because I love cats :D) and I'll slack in classes. I mean I only have a few more classes to take but like a cat is a large commitment and I'm scared that I am not worthy of a cat yet. If you have a pet and you are a full-time student please give me advice I love cats so much I just want it to be happy and loved and not bored.
