2024.11.25 23:40 TheMachine1010 HELP! Soft locked, Immersion Ruined
Long story short, got hard locked when a quest item wouldn't spawn. Used console commands to just finish the quest (since the console wouldn't allow me to spawn the item in for some reason). Ever since then, I have to activate each main quest manually with the console. After one is done, none of the oncoming quests are activated or populate on the map without my manually activating it with console commands. I'm missing key pieces of exposition and coupons as well.

so ive been having this weird issue for a while but havent gotten around to posting. my monkey ball banana mania just no longer has sound. i have done everything from loading it in lutris, to deleting and reinstalling, to even factory resetting my steamdeck and nothing. the audio slider in settings said its at 10 (max), the steamdeck sound is on and working in all my other games. its just monkey ball which wont work. any ideas?

Right so I 17F have been dating this guy 16M for about 6 months now and a lot of his behaviors lead me to believe he can be controlling. Firstly, right we are both in high school but we have very different views on drinking. I grew up around parents and family that let their kids have occasional drinks for the hell of it while he grew up in a very alcohol minimized household. He has a lot of trauma related reasons for why he dislikes drinking and I always respected that but I also told him that drinking is a part of my family. Anyways after dating for about 3 months I mentioned a family trip in which I planned to drink and he got very upset. He basically told me he wasnāt comfortable with me drinking and I donāt remember exactly what I said but Iām pretty sure I told him I would avoid it. Come to the first night of the trip and I had a singular drink then called him super upset about it cause I felt so guilty. He got very upset and told me absolutely not the entire rest of the trip. Then my cousin convinced me that this wasnāt something he had the right to control and that it was my decision. So I got a little tipsy with her and told him that I felt he couldnāt control that. Then he got super upset and spoke about how he didnāt feel heard and that I should respect what heās asking of me because he has a trauma related reason to not want me as his partner to drink. I didnāt drink the rest of the trip. This was a huge fight and he references it constantly usually calling it another traumatic experience related to drinking. Anyways it was tabled for a bit (ish) as it continuously got brought up in arguments. Then I talked to an older friend of mine and she was like āthatās toxic break up with himā and I almost did but decided not to because I really am fond of him. Then I later brought the issue up to my therapist and she also said it seemed controlling, to talk to him about it, and reconsider the relationship. When I told my boyfriend about all these instances he informed me that they were all biased and I shouldnāt listen and that they were therefore invalid.
Now that brings me to today in which we just argued again. My brother 21st is on thanksgiving and I want my cousin avery to come over to celebrate with me and we might drink. Lately heās been saying drinking is ok in moderation and I get that but it still feels like he doesnāt have the right to control that decision of mine. I told him I didnāt care for drinking or having her over because I figured it would cause a fight and I just didnāt want to. But I later changed my mind today and asked if it was ok to invite her over. He got mad at me for changing my mind and claiming I didnāt care when I āclearly wanted toā. He refuses to accept that I just changed my mind. Is this toxic behavior and the people in my life are right or am I being biased towards myself on this one and turning myself into the victim. He does numerous other behaviors that make me feel uncomfortable like saying things about what I wear and how I behave wearing things like shirts, leggings, dresses etc and he also has felt incredibly uncomfortable with a male friend of mine to the point in which we barely speak. Anytime I say that I think these are toxic he says that Iām victimizing myself and that he is just drawing boundaries. I donāt know who to believe and itās getting to be very confusing and weighing me down a lot. Am I the one in the wrong here or is he controlling, and if so what should I do about it?

About 3 days ago I was alone with someone I trusted. I am a female, they are male. Iāve known them since I was in elementary school. We have a close friendship, including some flirting, but weāve never been romantically involved. Recently weāve been flirting more and (via text message) itās gotten more flirty and sexy. But again- weāve never even kissed.
We made plans to hang out. While there we were hugging and they began to feel me up. Rub my butt, my boobs. All over the clothes. They physically held my head still and kissed me, tongue and all. I pulled back and said āno, no, noā like scolding a toddler. I was surprised and didnāt immediately think it was so forceful. This is something I did want- in a really different way. They got on top of me and continued kissing me. They put my hand on their crotch over their pants multiple times, even after I moved it away and said ānoā. When I asked them to get off me they didnāt right away and tried to (in a seemingly flirty way) argue with me why they shouldnāt and why I like it. While kissing me again, when I couldnāt see what was happening, they put my hand on their bare penis. I pulled it back quickly and told them to put their pants on. They argued with me, again trying to be coy, and saying āthey are on, just not ALL the wayā. At one point when they were kissing me they started trying to finger me through my leggings.
I forgot to mention- they had clearly been drinking. They smelled like alcohol.
I felt trapped. I was at their house, not mine. We were alone. And I did really want this person in romantic and sexual ways, but not like that.
Even though it hurts, Iāve already blocked them and we havenāt spoken.
I have therapy scheduled this week. I have supportive friends. But I just canāt believe how much this has affected me. Iām struggling to eat. The smell of alcohol makes me want to puke. I cry at random times. Iāve never been treated like this before and Iām just shocked. And sad. And confused because this isnāt the person Iāve known for so long.
Any additional advice beyond what Iāve done?
This might be kind of a usual post for the community, but I know the THT fans are good people and I just could use a space to be.

 | So me and my fiancĆ© have been considering fostering in the near future. We are a gay couple, and when I was looking into this I discovered this. I keep deciding not to do it, bc I feel like we donāt have enough money put back. You never know with kids when you may need emergency fundsā¦ But every foster parent Iāve met here is usually living worse off than we are. They act like feeding the kids, and giving them a bed at night is enough. Iām starting to realize the standards I have are insanely high. We can truly provide what these kids need. Show them a better way to live. Spoil them so they finally feel they can fit in. But after reading that above, itās definite we will follow through next year after making sure weāre ready. But Iām terrified bc I saw how TN only has like 1 social worker to 16 kids. Itās so bad they are begging gay couples to foster on twitter. I just know with all the mega churches popping up everywhere. They are probably convincing followers to adopt gay, or trans kids. Giving the parents the impression they will save their soul. And the church probably does this to cash in on their checks. When the kid obviously runs away, or commits suicide. They will just say they did their best, but the devil won. Only to traumatize more kids on the process . Have these kids not suffered enough? Why would they specifically legalize discriminating against children? I mean we know why.. Itās so highly religious people can abuse, and drive them to suicide without any consequences. They just want lgbt+ kids to show what great christians they are. The timing says a lot. You know itās so they can abuse the many trans kids whoāve been kicked out of their homes. I am just losing my mind right now. TN just passed a law requiring our kids to watch a bias, incorrect, religious anti abortion video. That shows them an incorrect view of what fetal development looks like. Clearly TN GOP has no interest in helping, or educating our children. This is about using propaganda to brainwash our kids to believe in the same falsehoods they do. This is about cruelty, and allowing abuse if it targets those they believe should not exist. The Nazis are marching, why arenāt we? I 23f was wrongfully terminated from my job. I had put in for time off two weeks prior, then a few people at my job decided to stop showing up and we were short staffed. My employer asked me if it was possible to move my vacation days because we did not have the people but if I couldnāt it would be alright to just let her know. I wasnāt able to move the days and decided to take the vacation. One day into my vacation she then texted me and told me that I could not take it and I would need to come in. I was already out of the country so I told her I wasnāt able to come in and would be back the day i told her. I had two days off and then asked for an additional two days. So I was only gone for 2 days really. I want to know if there is a way to still get unemployment since I was not actually told I couldnāt leave until I was gone.
