My husband and I are in the early stages of planning a trip to Greece and Italy to celebrate our daughter's high school graduation next spring. She'll be almost 18 and our son will be 15 at the time of the trip, and we would go at the end of May into early June. Our daughter really wants to go to Santorini. After doing lots of research these last few days, I would also really love to go to Milos and Naxos and I think my kids would love both of those islands. Since our time on the islands would be limited to about 6 nights, would it be possible to visit all 3 of these islands? I know most people would recommend choosing 2 instead. I don't think we would need more than a day and a half on Santorini so please let me know honest thoughts on how we could make it work to visit all three islands. (This trip is a huge stretch financially for my family so that's why I'm hoping to see as much as possible while we're there.) Thank you for your help!

hiiiii, I’m feeling completely overwhelmed and could use some advice about a legal situation with my ex. Here’s the backstory:
About two years ago, my ex and I broke up after a very rocky relationship. At the time, I was furious because I felt betrayed and manipulated—he owed me a significant amount of money and refused to pay me back. Out of anger, I crossed some boundaries and sent him several texts demanding repayment. I regret my actions now, but back then, I was heartbroken and desperate to be heard. Some of those texts included things like:

• Saying I’d go to his parents to get him to pay me back.
• Threatening to show up at his place to confront him about the debt.

I was putting pressure on him, telling him to come see me so we could resolve the issue, and I called him multiple times over several days. There was also a period when he made me believe that we might get back together. But when I realized it was all a joke, I was furious, and I ended up threatening him by text. Of course, he included those texts as evidence in his case.
However, my intention was never, ever to act on those threats. I just wanted him to feel my pain, to understand how much he hurt me, and to see that we could have ended things in a respectful way
A year later, we tried to fix things. We went to mediation to resolve the conflict, but the mediator told us that if we couldn’t come to an agreement, we’d have to work it out privately. The mediation didn’t work out, but after that, my ex and I met in private. During that meeting:

• We hugged.
• He told me that he missed me.
• And yes, we kissed.

At that time, I was still trying to process my feelings. I thought we could reconcile or at least come to some understanding. But I was also focused on the legal side of things—trying to get my money back—so I was communicating with the mediator about how to move the case forward.
Here’s where it gets messy:
What I didn’t know at the time was that the mediator was sharing my private messages with him, including the ones where I asked for advice on progressing the legal case. When he found out, he accused me of plotting against him, rejected me completely, and told me we’d settle everything in court. Things ended on a very bad note between us.
Fast forward another 1.5 years—now, out of nowhere, he has filed a harassment complaint against me. He’s asking for $10,000 in damages, claiming that I harassed him during the breakup two years ago. His evidence? All the text messages I sent back then, demanding repayment and expressing my anger. There’s nothing recent—he’s only using messages from two years ago, during the breakup, to build his case.
Can he really file a harassment complaint based solely on messages I sent two years ago, especially when:

• We had a period of reconciliation after those messages, including physical affection?
• There’s no evidence of recent harassment, and the complaint is coming so much later, almost 3 years in january 2025

I regret my mistakes during the breakup, but this feels like an unfair attempt to paint me in a bad light, ignoring the full context of our interactions. What should I do? How can I prove my side of the story in court? Any advice would mean a lot right now.

I'm an American high school student and I just got back from a term abroad in France to improve my French. I spent three months in the country—this wasn't a lot of time but I still had such an incredible experience. It was a full immersion experience so I lived with a host family and attended a local French high school (a lycée). My experience was a blast—I loved my classes and made friends. However, it's been really hard adjusting to life again in the USA—I miss my host family tremendously and I feel like nobody really gets it.
We were super close and I shared things with them that I haven't even shared with my biological family. And they shared close and personal things about their lives too. We would have these long discussions that would last hours and we'd have the most beautiful cultural exchanges too. While I was close with my host mom and sister, I was the closest to my host dad because we spent the most time together. And gosh, I miss him more than I can express in words. It's so strange because I didn't feel homesick whatsoever in France but right now, in the USA, I feel homesick for France, a country to which I hold no connection. My host family and I are still in touch on social media and we also have a Whatsapp group chat but it's obviously not the same. We are making plans to see each other again but obviously they are up in the air. I was just so happy around them—it's hard to explain. It's like I was a completely different person. I miss their jokes and their cooking and their house and seeing them every day and all our conversations. And I don't know how I'm going to move on. I'm trying to cope with the fact that realistically, I'll never see them again but I just can't. I want to cry because I miss them so much.
