TL;DR Will Undead Warlock be fine if Necrotic damage is useless ?
For context my friend told me that he is thinking of DMing again after a long hiatus. Now, this is a homebrew campaign and he told me that anything that messes around with souls or raises the dead is trouble. Necromancy will piss off a lot of entities and resurrections may not work at all outside of revivify.
Now thats all fine by me but then he told me that necrotic damage will be borderline useless.
This caused me some concern since Im gonna make a Warlock of The Undead (not The Undying, that shit is ass) and since it has some necrotic in its kit, I worry about the value my character brings to the party.
To sum it all up, will I regret playing an Undead Warlock or will I use so little necrotic damage that it wont matter ?

مشكلتي مع العلاقات إني دايم أتعرف على ناس، لكن بعد فترة أسحب عليهم، وأزعل على نفسي لأن ما عندي صديقات فعلاً مقربات. دايم أحس إن علاقاتي سطحية، وما أقدر أكون صداقات قوية.
أنا غالبًا أنتظر الناس يبادرون بالتواصل معي، لكن حتى إذا بادروا، أتكيّسل أطلع أو أسولف معهم. والنتيجة؟ أزعل أكثر لأن ما عندي صديقات حقيقيات، وكل اللي حولي مجرد زميلات أو حتى أقل من زميلات.
من ناحية شخصيتي، أنا إنسانة مستمعة أكثر من متحدثة، وعلاقاتي غالبًا تكون مع أشخاص يتكلمون كثير. لكن للأسف، دايم أحس إنهم يجلسون معي فقط إذا كانوا فاضين، أو إذا احتاجوا مني شيء. ما أتذكر يوم أحد تواصل معي بس لأنه يبغى نسولف أو يطلع معي بدون هدف ثاني. هذا الشيء يخليني أتوتر، وما أقدر أتكلم معهم على راحتي، لأن داخلي شك دائم إن وجودهم معي مصلحة مؤقتة.
مثال على هذا: هذا السمستر تعرفت على بنت، وكنت متفائلة إنها بتكون صديقة مختلفة. حبيتها لأنها حسستني إنها تثق فيني، حتى إنها قالت لي مواضيع حساسة جدًا، أقدر لو أبغى أوديها ورا الشمس فيها. حسيت وقتها إننا ممكن نصير مقربتين جدًا. لكن مع الوقت، طلعت زي غيرها، تراسلني بس إذا احتاجت شيء أو إذا كلاسنا مع بعض. حاولت مرة أبادر وأسولف معها لما كانت معي، لكن واضح إنها ما كانت مهتمة وكانت طول الوقت على جوالها. والأسوأ إنه لما شافت درجاتي نزلت في مادة، سحبت علي تمامًا وكأنها ما تعرفني.
عندي مشكلة ثانية بعد: إذا تعرفت على أحد، أطيح عليه مرة، وأبدأ أتخيل إننا بنصير بيست فريندز على طول. أدعوهم لبيتي وأقول إننا بنصير قريبين جدًا، وأحس إن هالشيء سببه عقدة نقص عندي في موضوع الصداقات. أحاول أعوّض هالنقص بأي طريقة، بس بالنهاية أخرب على نفسي.
