However, by default, git stash only saves tracked files. Any new, untracked files will not be included in the stash. If you have added a new file to your repository and then run git stash, the stash operation will not save the new file. The new file will remain untracked in your working directory. First of all: let us understand why do we need to use stash? In order to understand what stash is, we first need to understand the 3-states. Git has a built-in model named 3-states which is the internal git structure for working with local repository. The "problem" with the 3-states is that there is one per repository and not one per branch. You can do that using git stash --patch (or git stash -p) -- you'll enter interactive mode where you'll be presented with each hunk that was changed. Use n to skip the files that you don't want to stash, y when you encounter the one that you want to stash, and q to quit and leave the remaining hunks unstashed. You have to select only a single repository in the top dropdown menu ontop of the commit message input field inside the Git Changes window, then the dropdown menu on the commit button is visible including the stash menu item. This (the stash --patch original solution) is nice, but often I've modified a lot of files so using patch is annoying. bukzor's answer (upvoted, November 2011) suggests a more practical solution, based on git add + git stash --keep-index. Go see and upvote his answer, which should be the official one (instead of mine). stash: fix handling removed files with --keep-index. git stash push --keep-index is supposed to keep all changes that have been added to the index, both in the index and on disk. Currently this doesn't behave correctly when a file is removed from the index. Instead of keeping it deleted on disk, **--keep-index currently restores the file.** git stash the non-committed changes (fixing issue B) Go back to the master or main branch, possibly checking out a new branch to fix issue B. git stash pop the fixes for issue B in the current branch and commit them. Possibly git stash drop if the stash required manual merge. git stash and then git stash apply (git stash && git stash apply) will stash files and apply stash immediately after it. So after all you will have your changes in stash and in working dir. You can create an alias if you want it in one piece. Just put something like this to ~/.gitconfig: [alias] sta = "!git stash && git stash apply" By default, the command shows the diffstat, but it will accept any format known to git diff (e.g., git stash show -p stash@{1} to view the second most recent stash in patch form). Note: the -p option generates a patch, as per git-diff documentation. List the stashes: git stash list Show the files in the most recent stash: git stash show Any time you have a stash, you can use git stash show -p to see a simplified version of what's in the stash. (This simplified version looks only at the "final work tree" changes, not the saved index changes that --index restores separately.) The command git stash apply, without --index, just tries to make those same changes in your working tree ...

I ordered some ink for my Secret Santa and had to get the free postage so bought three for me too. Then another five turned up from Ali. All of this before I open my Inkvent. So I banning myself from buying more ink, pens and journaling supplies until 2025, I know thats only a month but hopefully I can continue after then too. The drawer is full I have nowhere to store more ink lol

Hi, I fly a twin otter a lot in Scotland, it's a very popular and common plane worldwide but I dont think (correct me if I am wrong) it apears in the FSLTL library? I've asked a few people on Vatsim what they see when they look at my plane and so far they say they just see a Cessna. Bit dissapointing as I never appear correctly for people. I kind of hoped for such a common and beloved plane there would at least be a model, if not livaries of it. Is there anyway to fix this? I'm sure I remember using a different model matching years ago and it had some DHC6.

I have a Daikin VRV 4 system at my hotel. One room’s fan coil has a fried PCB. Since all the rooms fed from this particular unit are daisy chained, it’s throwing a u9 communication error and the whole system is down.
Is there a way to bypass the bad PCB? I’ve already tried removing the comm wires to the bad unit.
Would it be possible to auto address everything again from the outdoor unit so it forgets about that room, or would that mess with the central controller?
I know the fix is to install a new board, but I’m having trouble sourcing one and I’m looking for a temporary fix to get the other rooms in service.

Everytime I log into fortnite on pc I can get into a game for about 10 minutes but then it proceeds to kick me for "unverified files". I go into the Epic launcher and "verify" the game and its fine after that. Next time I try and log into the game though it does it again why is this happening?
