I don't really have anyone to talk to about this since my wife would prefer if we wait till three months to tell anyone. We are currently at five-ish weeks.
I (26MtF) and my wife (20F) are pregnant through a planned pregnancy. We both have fertility issues (mine is from my hormone replacement therapy, my wifes is medical.) and have been trying for months.
I have always wanted to be a parent. I've drempt of it for ages. I own dozens of parenting/baby books I have names picked out. I'm ready for it... they are not. The biggest issues for them is.
One: They have hyperemesis gravidarum BAD. like throwing up every twenty minutes, unable to keep anything down.
Two: The damage to their body from carrying a child.
Both fair reasons I can understand.
I've always and still do support abortion but I'm having a terribly tough time dealing with this. It's hitting differently now that it's my potential child. I already love this child more than anything. I want to meet them and see them grow. we are renovating a school bus into our home, and I've already designed kids' rooms into the plans. I'm far past seeing this as "a pregnancy" they are my child, whom I may never get to see.
They want to end the pregnancy, and it's killing me. I've cried every day since I found out they were pregnant. I was beyond happy. Now, I bawl into my hands inconsolable at the thought of the abortion. I've already looked into therapists for this and read lots of experiences of fathers in this situation. (MTF seemed it was too specific.) I'm trying to be responsible and handle this proactively.
It's been maybe two weeks since they told me, and it still hurts. If I pressed my wife hard enough, they would keep the pregnancy, but I can't do that to them no matter how much I'd like to be a parent. I am scared I may do it by accident while discussing my feelings.
I'm still caring for them like they are going to keep it maybeits just denial. I give them prenatals and other vitamins monitor caffeine intake check everything they consume is safe for the baby wait on them hand and feet I've had more vomit on me and lost more sleep than I care to admit. I don't think I'll ever be able to let go. I'll be carrying this for the rest of my life.
We aren't fighting and arguing it's just a sad atmosphere around the house. Neither of us really sees a happy outcome, but we keep trying to talk about it. Usually, our conversations devolve into us just being sad and crying in each other's arms.
Apologies for the ramble and poor formatting. I don't really have a purpose for this post, just talking into the proverbial wind.

I know the title is a bit of a leading question, but context seems important. My friend, call him Sam, is a newer friend of mine, and is very close with someone I’ve recently become quite close with, call her Alexa. Sam has been close with Alexa for a while and has been a bit obsessive in regards to her, often showing up to her house in the middle of the night crying, begging her to be with him. She is his very good friend but doesn’t see him romantically like that, albeit they slept together twice. She sees him as “harmless, though a bit obnoxious”. But a very close friend. Alexa was venting to me about their situation, in that allegedly there have been a few times when Sam was at her house asking her to have sex with him, her saying no, and him getting naked to try anyway. He also in her words has “forced her into hugs and other physical affection” because “he said it would make him feel better”. This angered me, as to me its not appropriate behavior. I told her that he committed the legal definition of sexual assault and may have gone too far in that I called him a rapist, which upset her, as she cares for him deeply. She told him I called him a rapist, he told my friends, and now this all seems like some childlike drama over what should be a serious discussion. I reached out to him telling him to get his shit together and now Alexa and Sam are both very angry with me for being “a shit starter”. I’m 23, my friends are both upper 20s and I honestly feel that with the age gap comes a cultural shift for them that to me is too complacent about that kind of behavior. I did not reach out to him to “defend her” on some kind of righteous bullshit, I reached out because we’re of the same community and I feel he’s doing some unacceptable shit. She has also confided in me before that she is not good at enforcing physical boundaries, and I fear that her not doing so and being complacent with him is dangerous behavior. So, AITAH?
