Hello!
I have a few pairs of headphones already. -philips shp9500 (open back cans) -moondrop chu 2 (IEMS) -jabra elite 4 (Bluetooth buds)
I like all of these quite a bit. Really happy with the Philips, though often find myself wishing they had more "punchy" bass, both for music and gaming. But they've been great for producing/mixing/ listening to music. And pretty good with directional sound in games!
I love bass, but also do not like muddiness. l'd like to retain bass without being muddy.
I was about to pull the trigger on some HD600's, they've been on my list for years now. But lve heard they are not great for gaming. (And also don't have that much bass presence). I might scoop em up anyways because they're on sale rn.
Any suggestions are welcome:) I'd ideally like to spend $400 or less. I have a slight preference towards open back, but I'm not totally opposed to closed back!

2024.11.29 01:49 plsdontkillme_yet No Essential Graphics in v25... Now I can't change the position off all captions at once.
This change current feels like a huge misstep and has doubled the amount of time it takes to produce captions. Currently, you can no long change properties for all captions in one go. Font size and style works when hitting the Redefine button. But alignment and position stays unchanged.
Am I missing something or is this a massive fuck up from Adobe?

Hey all this is half pt school application advice half job advice. I have been working in a fast paced outpatient ortho clinic for the past 4 months and have learned a lot about the PT field. While in the future I ideally wouldn’t have to work in a clinic seeing 18 pts a day I have seen a lot of things that I do like. I have learned that PT would be a really great fit for me and I enjoy patient interactions and seeing why therapists chose their exercise prescriptions. I have developed a good relationship with a couple of the therapists that I am still hoping to grow and it is fulfilling to have access to professions to ask questions to.
Now onto the bad. The lead therapist/owner seems to not like me. Let’s call them Bo. Bo is always reprimanded me, calling me slow, inefficient, uncommitted. I work at the desk, work with patients, verify insurance while making minimum wage. I have more responsibilities than half my coworkers yet I am the least paid. Bo refuses to give me a raise and I am the lowest paid in the clinic despite having taken on more responsibility in the clinic without asking. When I started I was clear that I wanted to only work 32 hrs a week so I had time to study and shadow but for the past months I have worked 40. When I asked for less hours Bo doubled down on me not being committed to the job and stated that if something bad happened with this job it would look like a very poor reference for PT school. The other day Bo even asked if I had some sort of learning disability… If Bo dislikes me so much I wonder why they don’t fire me but I have a feeling that my responsibilities make me more important and give me more power than they let on.
I am afraid to quit this job as I am afraid my hours won’t get reported for PTCAS as revenge and I am afraid Bo could convince the other PTs to not be a reference for me. The other PTs generally seem to like me as do my other coworkers.
Does anyone have any experience in a similar situation or advice? Is it worth sticking with this job with a boss that lowers my self esteem in hopes that I can get a reference from the other PTs despite Bo’s critiques of me? I probably have around 600 hrs now at this clinic but it doesn’t feel worth the mental angst. I still need to shadow other settings and 40 hrs a week does not allow that. My 8 month old is allergic to eggs. Allergist said to have him avoid eggs completely (until a later date when we get him checked again) which also included any through my diet since he is breast feeding still. He also gets formula bottles since my supply is low so I can still feed him, but I’m wondering how long I should go before he can safely have my breastmilk again. Anyone ever go through this and have any idea?

I don’t even know if this is the right place to post this because It’s less of a confession and more of a story, I think? Anyways that’s not important. I am a freshman in college and stay on campus 90% of the time because it’s over a mile walk to my car and I don’t care to walk to far when I could just stay here. I love the campus, it’s beautiful and a lot better than the home I left. The only issue is over the last semester our campus has had nine “suicides”. I put that in quotes because no student believes they’re suicides. I understand there’s stress that comes with college but NINE? The first one we heard about was early in the semester and the girl was a sophomore who got severely drunk and jumped off the top of a parking structure. No one thought much of it because it’s college and bad stuff happens when people are put under a lot of pressure. But over the last month or so eight more women have died in the exact same way. Drunk, on top of a parking structure, suicide. Our school isn’t talking about this, there’s nothing in the news, and it’s just students talking around to each other. It’s not like I’m at a huge school either, I would say it’s pretty medium sized. It’s so weird and I don’t feel safe being here if it’s not something explainable.

Tonight I made a creamy Cajun pasta with onion, celery, bell pepper, andouille.
When I cut onions, I take off a couple layers at a time to get consistent pieces. In this case slices. For some reason during the cooking process, the membranes that separate the onion layers kept coming off and rolling up into clingy little strings.
I didn't mind, but my boyfriend was picking them out, so I'd like to fix it. He thinks it's from not cutting all the way through. I think it could be from when I separate the layers. Any way to do this more cleanly?
