Hi, Im planning a trip to the US with my friends (two of us will be 21 at the time), and we're trying to get an idea of what to expect for our budget so we can start saving asap. Having a rough goal to work towards would be really good. We are looking at traveling between May and July 2026
Fly from Copenhagen to New York and stay for a week in an Airbnb. We plan to cook most of our own meals, with the occasional dollar pizza slice.
Take a train to Philly to meet a friend and maybe stay a few days.
Fly to LA, where I have relatives (cant live at theirs tho). Ive been looking at places in the Glendale/Silver Lake area.
Buy a cheap used car to get around SoCal then sell it before leaving through a friend in VTA.
Spend about 1.5 months in LA, hopefully splitting time between there and Ventura.
Does this plan seem ok? How much should we expect to budget (excluding flights, trains)?
Any advice or criticism is appreciated!

I have not had mumps vaccine in my life because I caught mumps before my mom took me to the doctor for its vaccination.
I am not sure about the US, but at least in Japan, once you get mumps you don’t have to be vaccinated because you have immune system already.
In this case, do I still get mumps vaccine for I-693?

2025.01.29 21:40 Asappol Is it okay for a teacher to grab me to get my attention?
I am 18F and a senior in high school. My school building is split into multiple schools and when covid hit each school was assigned certain stairs, this has continued even now. My school has too many students to fit into our section of the building so we’re in the very back in this other school’s section. I take the stairs that “belong” to the other school every morning as those are the stairs closest to my class. A couple times this teacher caught me taking the stairs and yelled at me a bit before making me take my school’s stairs. I continued taking the “prohibited” stairs cause it’s not like I get caught every time.
Today I was walking up those stairs when all of a sudden I felt someone grab me by the shoulder of my sweater and yank me down the stairs. It was the same teacher that always yells at me. He started screaming in my face while still grabbing me by the jacket. He only let go after I asked him to let me go, after I asked him he yelled at me for apparently asking informally.
My question is: should I go to my homeroom teacher to report this or is it not worth risking getting in trouble for taking the wrong stairs?

I don't really use the NVIDIA app to optimize my game very often, but every once in a while I need it to change the game back to borderless. After the EA update that moved the game path from Program Files (x86) to Program Files, it no longer shows up in my NVIDIA app as an installed game. I've tried adding the file path directly as well, and it is still not detected. Has anyone else has this issue recently? Or would be willing to check?
