Hi! I'm looking to find one or two guys to form a pact to encourage each other in our fitness goals. Very basic. I want to meet in person once or twice a month and report on progress and accomplishment of how well we accomplish weekly goals by text or email every week. I think meeting in person periodically is important to make the stakes a bit higher and make it feel more real.
I'm in Astoria, prefer someone who can conveniently meet in Astoria or UES/Midtown manhattan.

I'd like to see if we can start a thread of hacks, budget product and equipment options, and maybe even some product dupes to share with each other. Even if you think something is "common knowledge", please share what you have!
My biggest things are definitely: 1. The Dopict 5.2HP dryer I got on Amazon for $90. It's a workhorse for my small business. It's been doing 4-8 dogs a day for 6 months and is running strong. Dries my huge standard poodle (28" at the withers with long ears/top knot/tail/cuffs) to 100% in 40 minutes. 2. Granite or ceramic tiles to lay hot blades on to cool them faster. I have an ooooold granite top side table I inherited and it sits beside my table and it's the GOAT. 3. Jasón shears. I have many of their professional shears and they cut like butter, the fall is smooth, they stay sharp through all the BS I put my shears through lol. I did purchase one curved thinners though that came with a slight bend on a tooth that caused a burr within a few months but that's the only problem I've had with any of them.
I will add more in comments as I think of them. What is your hack/dupe/great budget find?

Destiny told Adam he should have Maga supporters listen to answers and try to write down his policy. We know he doesn't have policy, we know they don't know details. They don't care about details, they are happy with "deport illegals", "impose taruffs", etc.
An alternative idea, that I think would be more revealing, is have them listen to Trumps answers then try to guess what the question was. This will get them to actively listen to Trumps words in relation to what people are asking.

Hi all, so to preface, I know virtually nothing about Roombas other than they are robotic vacccums lol.
I had been looking for a solution for my 85 year old grandmother to find an easier way for her to vacuum her house that didn’t include lugging a heavy vacuum up and down stairs. I had been talking about this to my girlfriend’s mom, and she said that she had an old Roomba that she didn’t use anymore that I could have to give to my grandparents. I said sure and took it. After a bit of research I figured out it’s a model 677. It came with no instructions, only the Roomba and the charger.
She said that the reason that she stopped using it was because it was hard to charge. She had to set a heavy object on top of the Roomba when docked to put enough down pressure on the robot to charge. I cleaned it up and plugged in the charger and placed the robot on the charger, and found just that. It seems to charge for about 1 or so minutes, then the lights turn off on both the charger and the Roomba. I undock it and re-dock it, and the same thing happens. Is this normally what it does when charging, and if not, what could be causing this?
The other thing I’ll add is that my grandparents are not tech savvy in the least, and they don’t have a smartphone or tablet to run an app with Roomba. It’s my understanding that you can just click the clean button on top and it’ll get to work, but since it was used in a previous house, is there some sort of manual reset I need to do before I turn it loose in their house? Anything else I may be missing? Thanks in advance!

As the title suggests, I am looking for information on filing the the Writ of Mandamus against USCIS
We are at 16 months of waiting(mid Sept 2023) on the I-130(USC, spouse abroad). They are nearing the end of our month and fear we are getting left behind. I tried my congressman with no luck, but not the senator. Right now I am just looking for information in case I need to file. I intend to file if we don't hear after 18 months (mid March)
I would also be interested in hearing from those that filed with a lawyer, who did you use, how much did you pay, was it just a one time fee, how long did it take for you to get your decision, did it have any impact on the NVC process.
Also anyone out there file on your own? Any resources you can suggest? How much did it cost you?

Around a month ago i switched from being employed on PAYE to being self employed. Upon leaving my previous job i was lumped with a big bill for training courses that i had completed while i was employed (which had been agreed in my contract). My field of industry has not changed and i am still doing more or less the same job as before so therefore this training should be tax deductible? My previous employer is trying to tell me this illegal and I can’t offset it, but I don’t see how as the training directly relates to my industry and my progression and I technically paid for it.
I have tried looking about online but as it’s such a specific matter I can’t really find a clear answer. If anybody could help that would be great.
