Following that post about the dude who caught his girlfriend calculating his wealth with her cousin, I'm honestly, quite frankly, annoyed as hell with some of the responses I see popping up.
Some of you dumb people try to explain away her shady behavior with this "everyone wants security" or "it's just beauty for wealth" crap. Let me explain to you why that's complete BS:
Look, there's a damn clear difference between wanting a partner who is financially secure and straight-up targeting someone for their money under false pretenses of love. One's just being practical about life; the other's manipulative as hell.
What this woman did wasn't just "wanting security." She got caught red-handed:
Actually calculating the guy's rental income (who tf does that?)
Strategizing over him being an only son (gross)
Pushing for fast marriage while concealing her real motives
Bragging to her cousin about being "set" like he's some lottery ticket
The "beauty for wealth" argument is even more messed up because it:
Reduces human beings into commodities
Assumes all men are shallow and all women are gold diggers
Completely avoids anything actually real, such as love, shared values, and actually connecting with a person.
Most importantly-tries to excuse lying by pretending it is everyone's character in order to maintain superficiality.
Here is a reality check: Most people, regardless of gender, want actual connections. Most women aren't sitting around calculating their partner's damn rental income or plotting about inheritance. Most men aren't looking at relationships like some weird transaction.
The guy in the original post isn't upset because "oh no, my girlfriend cares about financial stability." He is gutted because he found out that the person that he loved was running basically a con on him. She wasn't transparent in her motivations. She saw him as a walking bank account rather than as a person.
You're not being "realistic" by normalizing this behavior; you're just advocating a cynical worldview that screws over both men and women. You are telling men they can never be loved for who they are, and you insult women by claiming they're all manipulative gold-diggers.
Actual relationships are built upon mutual respect, trust, and actual connections. Let's not pretend toxic manipulation is natural or requisite of anyone's gender.
TL;DR: There's a difference between wanting a stable partner and manipulating someone out of their money. Stop excusing BS by pretending that everyone's equally shallow.

2025.01.19 13:11 Master_Writer7035 Its has being almost 2 years, it should be easy and it’s getting me angry that’s not.
It’s being almost 2 years that he broke up with me, 3 that we where together, and it’s driving me nuts that I still miss him, that I still want him to regret what he did, that I still want to show him that HE lost ME, but it always feels like it’s the inverse. I hate that he got over me in 2 days(by what he said to me) and I’m no time was ready to see me as just a friend. I want to get over him, meet new people, new boys, new girls, both, neither, in between, to meet someone new, but it feels like I just want someone to be my therapy SO and “cure” what is messed up after that break up, someone to show him that i’m better without him, but the SO doesn’t deserve that, I don’t want to be that type of guy that just uses others to satisfy my needs and feelings. The worst part? It should be easy for me to get over him. I was the one doing all the heavy lifting in the relationship. I was the one doing everything in my power to help him and us. I did Powerpoints to help him in math, the one that bought the presents on time, hell, I literally went out to learn how to do a massage that takes out menstrual cramps so he wouldn’t feel dysphoric.

2025.01.19 13:10 Cman2019 Is the download speed the only thing you look at
When placing the white gateway in different locations in the home or outside ( to see if an antenna would make a difference). Should I be looking at just the download speed or other things, as I’ve seen on here other people showing different type of numbers. As someone mentioned in another post that you just don’t look at the signal bars. All I have is 2 tv streaming devices, few home control devices and phone/computer. No gaming.
