Je suis auto-entrepreneur et je loue une résidence secondaire exclusivement en meublé de courte durée via Airbnb, ce qui est mon unique activité professionnelle et ma seule source de revenus. J’ai récemment reçu un avis de taxe d’habitation pour ce bien, alors qu’il est utilisé uniquement à des fins de location meublée. Un voyageur Airbnb qui souhaite une facture aura donc généralement à en demander deux : A Airbnb = La facture des frais de services voyageurs (sauf si vous êtes en « tarification simplifiée » car alors c’est l’hôte qui prend en charge la totalité des frais de services) A l’Hôte = le reste. - Considérer votre annexe comme partie de votre résidence principale, et donc la louer comme « chambre privée » sur airbnb. Alors vous n’aurez pas de déclaration en mairie, et pas de limitation des 120 jours. Mais en cochant cette option sur Airbnb vous ne ciblerez pas le public qui chercherait un logement indépendant. Or Airbnb, pour calculer la durée du séjour requise, se base sur le jour d’arrivée. Si le locataire arrive avant la période estivale, il pourra louer une partie d’une semaine que nous ne souhaitons pas diviser. Exemple : Arrivée le 24 juin et départ le 29 juin 2021 (5 nuits) => accepté par Airbnb . Méthode 1 : →Contacter Airbnb Via Twitter. Le meilleur moyen et surement le plus simple de contacter Airbnb en cas de problème est encore d’utiliser Twitter (si bien sur vous possédez un compte). Airbnb dispose d’une équipe dédiée qui gère leur compte et répondent généralement sous 5-10min aux questions qui leur sont posé. 1: rentrez sur ... I run a local arts council with a gallery, we have an annual photography exhibition every January that historically has had two categories: color & b/w
In recent years we’ve had one person that regularly submits photos that have been edited to the point they are unrecognizable as photographs. They’re always really beautiful, but definitely come across as a painting more than a photo. (We do have a fine art show later in the year I’ll be encouraging him to submit work to) This year he’s brought one of those again, but we also have a few submissions that are less heavily edited but still very much so. Three are digitally manipulated ones and two are hand colored black and white film pieces.
All pieces are generally accepted but we hire a local photographer to jury for 1st-3rd prizes in both categories. We both don’t have the money to give out 9 cash prizes, and I don’t feel that 5 pieces are enough to warrant its own category.
I don’t want to bar all digital/post process editing, because that’s unnecessary and unrealistic (and un-track-able), but I only have a small photography background so I’m not sure what the best option here is for this show that opens in a few days and for shows going forward. I do have images of the pieces to share for reference if they’re wanted.
Grateful for any feedback, suggestions, and discussions on this! 🙏

Just spent a hefty sum on a heater core replacement and install of the HeaterTreater blend doors as I’ve had no heat for a while now. Shop installed everything and still no heat. They put in a new thermostat out of desperation which it definitely didn’t need but it is what it is.
Both hoses to the heater core are hot, all the doors work as far as I can tell, and with it being around -10 celsius I’ve got barely lukewarm air blowing out. They also said they ran a vacuum on the coolant lines to remove any potential air locks but there is absolutely zero difference from when the old heater core and blend doors were in. I initially wanted the heater core replaced because I’ve back flushed it twice and a bunch of gunk came out, and the blend doors were just an opportunistic add-on.
Just looking to see if anyone else has some experience with this and possible solutions that don’t include the parts that have already been replaced.

Hey all back again with a year review/ call for suggestions. Not as prolific reading as last year but still solid.
- Sunflower by Tex Gresham: Fun read that went quick for a longer book. Wish it had a tiny bit more substance to its style.
- The Willows by Algernon Blackwood: Eerie and atmospheric. Loved it, if would be higher if it were longer.
- Everything Sad is Untrue by Daniel Nayeri: beautifully crafted memoir that mimics the storytelling structure of Daniel’s culture. Really a lovely book.
- My Heart is a Chainsaw by Stephen Graham Jones: Jones is not for everyone but I just love his writing. This is my least favorite of his I’ve read ( slashers are the one genre of horror I’m not too keen on) and it still lands at 7. I can’t wait for his upcoming vampire novel.
- The Game by Ken Dryden: A Raw and honest look inside a sport that brings out so many aspects of humanity. It touches on aging, brotherhood, the trappings of success, and identity outside of one’s career.
- The Woman in the Dunes by Kobo Abe: I wish this book was less misogynistic but the writing is incredible and the story is unique and bizarre. With a fuller female character this would have been top 3.
- Zen and the Birds of Appetite by Thomas Merton: Merton constantly reminds me why I love my spirituality and gives me hope for a more loving brand of Christianity. If more of the Western church had his curiosity and humility the world would be a better place.
- Stoner by John Williams: Not gonna lie, I was hesitant to read this one because of all the hype. The hype is warranted. A sad but beautiful picture of a peculiar character. I thought about this one for months after finishing.
- Hard Rain Falling by Don Carpenter: Holy moly what a book. Interesting and real characters left and right. Don’t want to give too much away. Just read it.
- Fat City by Leonard Gardner: This book scratches every spot in my brain. Lovely prose, moving stories, self destruction characters, slight glimmers of hope in a sea of muck, and boxing. I grew up in boxing gyms and boy oh boy does Gardner nail the non-glamorous side of gym culture. This is probably my 2nd favorite read in the last 5-10 years behind East of Eden.
