I’m currently investigating a Polestar 3 lease at the Lisle space near Chicago. I’m coming from the Genesis GV60 EV and this would be my first Polestar vehicle. I’m very intrigued by the style, build quality, and unique brand. I’m typically an early adopter, generally been an Android guy since their beginning - so, “annoying” bugs aren’t a concern. And I know there’s the promise of updates. But, I generally don’t have the patience for a vehicle sitting in service for months due to drive-related or safety-related part needs or issues. I’ve read quite a bit in various forums, but haven’t seen a poll specific to the decision owners made to purchase this specific vehicle (only bug-related polls).
For PS3 owners, my simple question is this. If you were in the market again today, knowing what you know now (or have experienced so far) - would you purchase the PS3 again?

I submitted a card (worth $250) on November 21st, 2024. Weeks later, my order status was still marked “shipped to PSA.” It’s now January 20th, 60 days later (36 business days) and my order is still marked as “shipped to PSA.” After multiple emails with GS, phone calls to my local store, and phone calls to corporate, there isn’t a single soul who can give me an update. My local store manager said he received a message from his DM on January 4th saying they were looking into it. It’s been over 2 weeks since then and I still don’t have any updates. Not only will GS lose your order, but they will act like they have no idea it even exists. They have said there isn’t a set timeframe for when a reimbursement can be claimed, but at this point I feel like it’s reasonable to ask for it. This entire experience has been nothing but hassle. To everyone considering grading with GS, I promise you the time and money you’ll save is not worth the hassle. Just do it yourself.

I have a friend who is going to fix my car. It was rear ended but it’s still drivable. He wants to drive it a little bit while he has it which I’m fine with but my wife wanted him to get insurance on it. We removed it from ours when we got another car cuz it was totaled and it’s gonna take time to fix. I know he can get tickets for driving without insurance, tho he does have insurance on his own truck, and he can get tickets for driving without license plates, but can anything come back on me for letting him drive it? Online I found that if I had it insured and he got in a wreck my rates could go up but I can’t find anything else.

2025.01.20 18:58 First-Interaction741 Anyone else using gaming to procrastinate on their New Year’s resolutions already?
So… It’s not even February yet, but my New Year’s resolutions are already looking pretty grim. I was like: this year is going to be different. I will go to the gym, start eating healthy, and tackle that large pile of books that I collected during the previous year. Instead, I am glued to my PC.
It’s at the same time depressing and funny how I can spend three hours grinding levels or mining resources, but the very idea of spending 20 minutes on meal prep feels exhausting. Even worse, I somehow convinced myself that gaming is a productive break, where I work on my mental capacities. Even writing this post about gaming feels like a time well spent.
The worst culprit? Games with endless progression. I’m talking about simulation games like Factorio and Stardew Valley, ARPGs (I’m currently playing through Last Epoch again while also slowly sampling Rogue Trader 40K) and sandboxes like Warband with mods. Whether I am perfecting my crop layout in Stardew Valley or trying some new build in Last Epoch and then being swept away for hours, there always seems to be one more thing to do. I’m always saying things like: just one more dungeon, one more quest, just a step more… and I will totally start cleaning my room. Spoiler alert: that last thing is never the last thing. Priorities...
I know I’m not alone in this. There is something about gaming that makes it so easy to ignore real world problems and goals. Sure, it is comforting; but it is also dangerously good at eating up all the time you swore to use for doing something else. So, anyone else in the same boat, and any New Year resolutions you're conveniently forgetting because of gaming?

Vocês NÃO SÃO a Rockstar, ela já seria queimada se pedisse 80 dólares mesmo que os desesperados, viciados e cornos fossem comprar aos montes no lançamento. Valeria a queimação sabendo que esse jogo vai chegar a uma centena de milhão em alguns anos de qualquer jeito?
Lembrando que, o aumento para 70 dólares foi uma masturbação coletiva da indústria nessa geração com a mesma justificativa: "está tudo mais caro e os jogos continuam a (""melhorar""") enquanto o preço de lançamento continua o mesmo". já estava assim antes, um lixo e continuou a mesma indústria de merda, não melhorou NADA muito pelo contrário e a gente sabe para onde esse dinheiro tá indo.
Para o bolso de executivos e investidores que querem ovos de ouro maiores do ganso, não são gamers e muito menos se importam com arte e entretenimento.
Se a Rockstar pedir 80 dólares, bora rir, mas rir pra cacete, e se pedir 90-100... O jogo vai vir para Pc em um ano e teremos a iniciativa vingadores dos crackers e não importa o que a Rockstar coloque para combater, estará na internet em pouco tempo.
E o resto da indústria? kkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkk debatível se em algum momento valeu 60 dol com algumas exceções então imagina mais que isso.
Pessoal, o passado é o novo futuro! Terminem as suas bibliotecas! Agem como se a gente não tivesse décadas de média acumulada pra jogar a bons preços. Eu precisava da falta de noção da "indústria" para rir um pouco.

I have a city with round about 350k population. Of course, I also have an airport and a couple of airplane routes. However, it really doesn’t get used a lot. The streets around my airport are more or less empty and parking lots also don’t get used. Compared to CS1, the whole area feels completely dead.
Is it just me or do you encounter similar problems ?
