Hello. I'm aware that this topic is vastly talked about, and I also read a lot about it before posting, but I'm more confused than before, because everyone seems to have a different opinion. So I wanted to explain my specific case in hope that someone can help me decide what the best thing to do is.
Premise: I know batteries will degrade overtime no matter what we do, but I really wouldn't want to unknowingly speed up the process significantly because of my ignorance.
MacBook Air M3 13" (bought in November 2024) - iOS Sonoma 14.6
So, of course I read the "rule", preference, of maintaining the battery percentage between 20/80%. Many people recommended Al Dente to cap it to 80%; but just as many said that the OS is well capable of managing the charge with optimized charging, and that third party apps do more harm than good.
I use my MacBook 99% of the time from home so I thought I'd leave it plugged in. But of course this way it will always stay at 100%, which I read its bad for the battery. But then many said that even in this case the OS takes care of it and learns my habits and even lowers it to 80%.... But so far it stays always at 100%.
Questions: - How much time it usually takes for the optimized charging to learn habit patterns? - When I use it plugged in, does it take the power directly from the cable bypassing the battery? - What's the difference between battery 100% and red light on the cable and battery 100% and green light on the cable? - When I put it to sleep at night, should I also leave it plugged in?
Every advice is highly appreciated, I really don't want to actively ruin my battery for one reason or another :')

Hello everyone,
I will be moving to Copenhagen at the end of March. I am a french engineering student doing its last internship in Denmark. Everything is finalized but I still haven't found place to live. My job is located between Frederiksberg and Vesterbro but when I search for accomodation, I either found nothing available in that area or nothing furnished.
Do you have any suggestions that might help ? Ideally, I am looking for a small appartement but I'd also be open to sharing a place.
Note: I’ve already checked student housing, but it seems a Danish school enrollment is required. I’ve also seen a few accommodation options in Facebook groups.

2025.01.21 10:00 Pleasant_Intern8076 Install question - install of ONT into loft via soffit, is an external box still needed?
Thinking of switching away from VM now CF have installed in our street. Spoke to a provider and they have confirmed a line would need to be run from the nearest telephone pole to the house.
Ideally I'd like this line to go directly from the telegraph pole into my loft for the ONT to go here (I have a power here etc) and then connect to the router here also. I have no issue making a hole in the soffit and pulling the wire through into the boarded part of the loft where I'd like the ONT to go.
My question is would I still need a box to be installed on the external wall before the wire enters the loft or could the wire not go straight into the ONT in the loft?

Tldr: My grandma is talking shit about my mum to my 12 year old sister
Basically mother and grandma (dad’s mom) had a falling out a few weeks ago. It is mostly my grandmas fault as she is a very difficult person to get along with, her own 4 kids all avoid her but because my mum is so patient she has been trying to be easy with her for so many years. Everything blew up a few weeks ago because my grandmother just take her kindness for granted and has started to accuse her of causing all her problems in life and also stealing things from her home.
My mom no longer visits or speaks to her because she is so mentally broken from the years of abuse, but she doesn’t mind if we go. My 12 year old sister visited the other day with my dad, when she came home she messaged me telling me how badly our grandma spoke about our mom to her, ranting and crying and accusing her of so many bad things.
I have comforted her and told her it is highly inappropriate that she is speaking badly about your own mother to you. She told me not to tell our parents, but I feel a bit stuck as she is only 12 and shouldn’t have to deal with it so privately.
