 | It looked like someone was testing it for a review. Had a camera inside the car. It looked like a gentle giant on the road, with great presence and zero sound. It zipped past me on a flyover. Caught a glimpse of the infotainment and it was hugee, it can be very distracting when driving. Usually big fan of black color, but somehow this didn't click with me, felt something was off. 2025.01.21 09:59 Minimum-Phrase RAV4 2004 Chassis Rust HELPP
Hello.
Can anybody gauge from this video if my chassis is likely to be completely f^cked from rust. A lot of corrosion and especially on the rear suspension/brake assemblies but happy to soak up some costs there if the chassis will hold and pass MOTS after being scrubbed back, rust converted and sealed.
There's a lot of soot like residue coming off before the metal, real control/tracking arm thingies quite perished, big chunks coming off and the rear driver (RHD) brake splash shield is completely loose as is the passenger rear wheel arch cover.
Only got to have a quick look before work this morn hence the dark.
Front chassis seems a lot better, mostly surface and seeming saveable.
Just worried about pouring money and time in to no end, have access to welder etc.
Would love to know any specific tests, next steps etc ?
