I got a Email from Amazon saying my packages were delivered and this is the photo the Amazon driver emailed me. The photo shows that he left my packages outside, in front of the Amazon Lockers in my apartment complex instead of putting them in the lockers and he did not deliver them to my front door. I did not see the Email until 1 hour after he sent it. I was worried that my packages could have been stolen since I live in a large apartment complex & 1 hour had passed. I ran to the lockers and saw an Amazon driver and my packages on the ground. I asked if he could hand me my packages but he ignored me and kept waving his hand at me to say No while he was talking on his cellphone. I used my flashlight and saw my name on the packages and picked up all 3 Very Heavy packages that in Total, weighed 45 LBs of liquids and lugged them about a 1,000 Feet back to my apartment. This was very upsetting because he could have just delivered them later than the time promised ,to my front door if there were no more room in the lockers. Someone could have stolen them and then I would have had to go through the Long Time & Hassle to report Stolen packages. The Amazon driver later sent 2 more emails saying it was delivered to my front door but when I went to Amazon’s website it still shows a picture of my 3 HEAVY Packages ABANDONED and LEFT OUTSIDE the Amazon Lockers Really FAR AWAY from my apartment. So upsetting!

Hi!
I'm 17 years old and I currently work at Five Below. I recently got hired in December 2024. I know that length of time isn't necessarily credible but this is still my experience with Five Below customers and policies.
Starting off, the pay is $11 an hour. I know people who've made less but it's one thing making $11 or less working everyday but at Five Below.... I'm lucky if I get to work a 4.5 hour shift once a week. The hours are genuinely TERRIBLE which is honestly odd to me being we really don't have that much staff. I got this job in an effort to save up for college and fill my time since I'm taking online community college courses through my high school. And this job is genuinely just not sustainable unless you're SUPPPERRR young (as in, younger than me and are just getting a job for experience).
The job is relatively easy, I got hired as a SEASONAL sales associate (I didn't even want to stay after the season but I apparently didn't get the option to leave) and they just throw me on cashiers every single day. It's genuinely boring, I'm the only one that's ever up there when I'd rather be on floor. But that's besides the point.
If you're unlucky like me and get stuck at registers, here's my experience. I got hired around christmas, so the store was obviously just a lot busier than it is now. We had customers coming in at 9 PM buying shit for no reason. At Five Below, there's a policy where even at the 'self-checkout registers' you HAVE to help people ring their items up and help them pay. Now, I only do this when I'm working with my manager but let me just say, that is genuinely the worst thing I've ever had to do. The entitlement that these bitches have at the checkouts makes me so annoyed. Because I'm genuinely just trying to do my job (that I hate) and one of these bitches starts yelling at me because I'm helping her checkout. And honestly, I get it, you assume you're not going to be bothered by an employee at what seems to be a self-checkout but all of a sudden a 17 year old Five Below employee has to come over and scan your items. It's annoying and I don't like doing it either but if I don't my manager is (whenever i'm working with her) yelling out to me that i need to be checking people out.
Like damn this is not for the girls with social anxiety 😭
Like I said before though, I don't usually check people out at the self-checkouts unless my manager is there. ( someone who is disabled, old, or for some reason just genuinely cannot do self-checkout by themselves will always be a different case!! be respectful of these people) I really only ring people out at the legacy register. And nobody else really cares about it. Just make sure you're keeping yourself busy with the other tasks you need to do.
I also want you guys to mind that the Five Below bathrooms are VILE. and if you need to use the bathroom try finding any other place that has a restroom. I deadass got pink eye from cleaning those bathrooms. Nasty. (i wash my hands NUMEROUS times throughout the cleaning process and after the cleaning process. however, at my location, they 'ran out of gloves' so I was washing someones nasty puss toilet with my bare hands.)
Maybe this job is your cup of tea, but it's not mine. I just don't think working at Five Below is ideal for anyone above 16. Which is kind of humorous since they only hire 16 and up. But yeah, all in all, this is just such a shitty job in my opinion and if you guys are looking for a temporary job and a Five Below is hiring, make it your last resort.

They don't even have to be that great? you've put your all into that person and crave them need them miss them yet hate them not for the bad things they did and the disrespect exactly but for leaving. Me with my ex.
Our relationship and breakup was messy me accepting the bare minimum just cause I was tired of feeling unloved. But I was only worried about him at least, lol. Now, 6 months post breakup I continue to put in the work of letting go and accepting the reality. I have regrets of losing myself and giving everything I could to the wrong person, and the dread and shame I feel still. from everyone around/ who knew about us (like my mom).
