I am in a masters program in a second try of my degree, I had to stop and change universities for family/personal reasons. I’ve encountered this same feeling of pure dread when I start each semester than I am not sure what to do with. It’s not about the academics of it, I have a 4.0 and find the work to be quite simple. I just don’t think this is what I want to do. I’m in music composition, so it’s not like I “need” the degree to write music. I enjoy learning but I’m starting to realize the reason I’m in grad school is because I don’t know what else to do with my life right now, but I also know I’m miserable. I don’t think I should finish grad school, but I also feel guilty for even thinking that. Any advice? (Also I’m less than halfway done a degree if that changes anything)

2025.01.22 04:41 WhiteWolf254 I enjoy this game but why are the bosses unfair?

Diablo 4 is way too easy but the bosses in this game are just so exhausting and the way you move is so sluggish opposed to the boss who’s moving like a fighter jet on top of the AOE you can’t even roll out of the way entirely sometimes. I just feel there is a balancing issue with these bosses other than that I’ve been enjoying it.

2025.01.22 04:41 JustaManx1 at what point does spending more on a PC result in diminishing returns? building my first PC

I was thinking of building a somewhat high-end PC (2.5-3k) around the Ryzen 7 9800X3D, but now I'm not too sure, I could be wasting my money. (I could go to mid-range if the return for my money is not worth it)
how much would you play for a gaming PC that can more and less run any game you want at 1440p with a good refresh rate?
Do I even need the Ryzen 7 9800X3D? I mostly play shooting (apex, Marvel) games with my friends and solo games like GOW, Souls games, Wukong, etc.
as for regular use, I'm an engineer i use 3d modeling/CAD sometimes but mostly coding.

I'm not sure why but after I launch the game and let it load it will give me the menu to start the game but once I do it just crashes, any ideas on how to fix this? I've updated drivers, checked file integrity, uninstalled and reinstalled. I'm not sure.

Bone dry lid and leather hard box? Im a student and I've been working so hard trying to make a chessboard with a box. I want the chess board to be the lid to the box. 4 times now I've made the rectangular box, tried to cut off the lid, and it has messed up. Once the top caved in because I didn't let the slab harden enough. Once when I tried to attach the top it fell through. I let things dry longer and it ended up being too too dry.
Anyways my chess board lid looks awesome and I don't want to have to remake it. My box is leather hard and that lid is bone dry. Is there a way to somehow align the two and make the bone dry chessboard act as a lid?
My last resort/only option is to just have the chessboard sit on top of the box with no sort of gallery or anything. That concerns me though because the chessboard could just fall off.
Anyways, if anyone has any advice or guidance let me know.
