As a regular visitor to the park, I know the kids often use these spaces to play cricket. This will inevitably damage the plants, rendering these government-funded flower beds useless.
Inspired by Meghnad, I believe a better approach would have been to use that government funding to create a small cricket pitch for the children. This would have been a much better solution than trying to discourage them from playing on the grass. This experience made me think about how we can better utilize government funds to address the specific needs of people within their communities.

Pozdrav svima!
Stavljam ovaj post jer me zanima kakva su mišljenja drugih po pitanju zadataka u selekcijskom procesu - konkretno se radi o digitalnom marketingu. Ušla sam u selekciju za jednu firmu da bih danas na mail dobila dokument sa 6 stavki, tj. šest različitih zadataka procjene. Između ostalog potrebno je napraviti objave za društvene mreže, reklamu, krizno komuniciranje, marketinška strategija i slično.
Zanima me kakav je stav drugih kad dobijete ovakav mail, da li vam je to red flag za firmu ili uzimate vremena i šaljete zadatak? Generalno nemam problem s nekim kraćim zadatcima jer mi je jasno da firma mora nekako procijeniti kandidata, ali ovo mi se stvarno čini malo pretjerano, pogotovo jer naravno nije naveden niti okvirni raspon plaće koji mogu očekivati za tu poziciju. Inače sam zaposlena na puno radno vrijeme i imam 3 godine iskustva na sličnim poslovima.

Thinking about it these past few weeks since “the game”, I have an unrelenting hatred for Xichigan. I’ve been a Buckeyes since I was born, but I have never felt so much hate for them until now.
They used to keep quiet because of how ass they were for years, but now they are so cocky and arrogant after “winning”. To finally start “winning” they had to break NCAA Covid recruiting rules, sign steal, and depend on shitty officiating. After all of that, watching them try to plant their flag in the shoe made my blood boil.
Anyone else feel this? I’ve never felt so upset about something. I’m glad we won the natty, but I’d rather of seen us put 50 up on them.

I watched Whiplash for the first time a few days ago, and holy shit - it's a masterpiece. As someone who's meh on La La Land and didn't think it deserved all the hype, this is a Chazelle film that deserved more hype imo. Masterful performances all round including a total acting masterclass from Simmons, very solid screenplay and direction and some of the best editing I've seen in recent times to name a few things that stood out.
I do know this was an indie project on a budget of only 3mil, but did very well at the box office with 50mil. Also Chazelle's first outing as a film director so he wasn't that well known.
Whiplash came out 10 years ago (2015 Oscar season), so I'm curious - if this film came out this season with Chazelle an Oscar-winner, Simmons a previous nominee, Teller with Top Gun clout, etc - how would it have done nominations wise with this year's field? Also despite Chazelle's standing in the industry, he would be coming off Babylon which flopped, so what effect would that have if any? (assume it's still made on a modest budget and did decent box office wise)
It did originally get in for BP but I don't think it was ever considered win-competitive, and a very well-deserved sweep for Simmons. Would he still have swept? Would it have gotten in for Director or Lead Actor?
Just my 4am thoughts while I ponder on this year's predictions 😂

Hello everyone,
I'm relatively new to biking and trying to dial my new bike in. I've tried fitting it to myself through online guides etc. and contemplating the result. Bike is size 60 and I'm 194cm.
Generally, the fit feels good. I am however wondering if I should try to raise the handlebars a bit - what are your thoughts on this?
Stem is 130mm and I've borrowing a 100mm from a friend in a few days to try it out. Any feedback on reach aswell?

I don't like my physiotherapist. I've never been very sporty and it's like being in PE lessons in school. She makes me dribble footballs (I have never been able to do this pre-MS) and the sessions last an hour which is longer than I can do without messing myself up for the rest of the week. I think because I can walk, she thinks I'm not that bad, but I have big problems with balance and stamina.
The sessions also aren't helping, like at all. If anything my legs have gotten worse. I've explained this to her to see if there are different exercises we could try but she doesn't seem to understand.
I feel quite lost and dissapointed with it tbh.
