I have become responsible for a very tall fiddleleaf in a pot.
Like too tall to go inside unless you have old QLDer with 12ft ceiling tall.
It's got at least 6 similarly tall main sticks still growing leaves fairly happily but I cannot transport it easily due to its size. And I'm moving and I'd like to take it with me.
I get the impression from a quick google if I cut his heads off he's done for?
Could I pick the healthiest tall section and leave that and kill the others or like 50/50 the beheading?
I didn't mean for it to get so tall but it just happened over the last 12-18 months I didn't realise until I went to do stake and soil overhaul and went "oh crap it's big".
It doesn't want to eat me yet but I wouldn't put it past it.
Any suggestions for safe shortening or best way to take it down a highway when it won't fit in a car at all and it's taller then the back of the ute so it gets whipped around like that poor sunflower tied to a veranda.

At first I thought one of the new Class D mini amps (Fosi, Aiyima etc) would fit the bill, but a quick scan of their products suggests that most of them offer only a single line input, and we need multiple inputs. So I'm not sure what the best option will be. Any advice gratefully received! Here are the requirements:
He's in the UK. Budget £300 max, but if there's a much cheaper option that would be useful.
Must have at least three/four RCA line inputs (will be connected to a tuner, CD, turntable and Bluetooth receiver if necessary). Phono preamp not needed, as turntable has one on board. Bluetooth connectivity would be nice but not essential. He doesn't stream and doesn't want to, so a Wiim amp would be overkill. It's not going to be cranked up at all high, so 40W or even 30W would be plenty of power.

I've lived in Idaho my entire life, and there's a lot I love about it, but a few key points are leading me towards leaving. These include - the political climate (hoping to find a place were religion isn't so involved in politics, it doesn't need to be especially liberal, but at least some political diversity would be nice) - cost of land in the areas of Idaho I'd be interested in is out of my budget - air quality in the summer is terrible from wildfire smoke
My biggest must haves for where to move are

summer temps that are manageable without AC. Hopefully it wouldn't get hotter than low 90 degrees and cool off a lot at night
I'm fine with cold snowy winters!
mountains. I'd like to live right on a mountain, but as long as I can get there in 30 minutes or less that's fine too.
i want to self build, so I need a place were that will be allowed. Also, where living in my converted school bus will be allowed during the building process (a lot of the places in Idaho I've looked at I wouldn't be able to do either of these things)
I'm not rolling in cash. The cost of land needs to be pretty inexpensive. I'm willing to wait for up to 2 years to save up if I find the perfect place but it costs are higher. (Budget is about $50k if I buy this year, up to $100k if I wait)
I'd love to escape wildfire season. But I think I might not get this wish with the other things I want.
within 2 hours of a pretty big airport

Areas I've been considering are

Western Washington and Oregon (wildfires are of course a big concern here. Plus the areas I can afford right away are fairly hot in the summer)

-West Montana. Somewhere outside of Helena maybe. I visited whitefish/Kalispell this summer for work and I think the climate there is about what I want, and while it might be good for my business as an artist, I don't really want to live in a "resort" type town. (Plus not cheap haha)

Colorado. That's actually how I found this sub was by searching for Colorado on Reddit. Just poking around on Zillow I found some properties that seem to fit most of my criteria (although it can be very hard to tell from just a listing) that I'd almost certainly be able to buy with cash before fall. That's a huge perk. I'm not scared of the winters there, infact they sound more mild than some of Idaho I've lived in, although the elevation is quite a bit higher. I'd have to do quite a bit more research to see if any of these places would be accessible at all in the winter (I'm prepared to get a pickup with a front plow attachment or even a small tractor, but I wouldn't want to clear miles of dirt roads every time it stormed). This is also the only place in my list I've never been to, and I know almost nothing about. I would likely do a road trip through the areas im looking at before I even decide to seriously consider land.
Maine (specifically I'm looking at the far east parts. Coastal and inland). This is way out of my comfort zone since I never thought I'd consider leaving the West, but I had a couple friends move there this year. I went to visit in October and I loved it. The biggest selling point for Maine is the prospect of smoke free summers. I've never lived somewhere with that kind of humidity though, and I'm also fairly concerned about bugs, especially ticks. I love walking around in the mountains with little fear of picking up a tiny blood sucking demon, I don't know if that's something I'd ever have in Maine. I know there are ticks in the other places I'm looking, but it just seems different to me. The other thing holding me back is living so far away from every single member of my family. I'd be 3000 miles away from the closest!

I'd like to hear whatever thoughts and opinions anyone has about these areas!
