Good Morning!
First of all, I'm sorry for the lack of misuse of techincal terms , my not so good english and the long text.
I'm developing an Desktop App in C# MVVM Winui that is supposed to receive data from objects ( for now only focusing on receiving position [lat,long,alt] speed and direction) and represent it on a map . My estimation for max number of objects at the same time would be a few thousands and thats already a very positive estimate for what will probably be the real number.
The program follows an hierarchy let's say an owner has 20 objects, it receives 20 object tracks and will share those 20 object tracks with others owner( and vice versa) in a single message. Therefore, even if there are 1000 objects that are, there won't be an owner receiving 1k single message in a space of seconds, it will probably come in batches of tens
Data is received by a singleton class (services.AddSingleton
My initial idea was a global variable that would hold all that data in observable collections/property changed and through Dependecy Injection, the viewModel would just read from there .
I had a lot of problems because of memory leaks, the viewModels were acumulating to the a lot of subscription because of those.
So I'm trying to move even more to the reliance of Databases (the app has another purposes outside of tracking, but this is the biggest challenge because is real-time data, the other data doesn't change so frequently and I can support some lag)
My new ideia is for the app to receive data , , store in a database so the ViewModel-View responsible for displaying the data can constantly read from the db for the updates. So I need fast writes and reads, and no need for ACID, some data can be lost, so i focused in NonSQL
Do you guys know any database that is reliable for this? Or is this idea not even feasible and I should stay with a global Variable but with better event subscription( using Reactive or something else ?
I'm focusing in embedded Database so the user does not need to install and/or setup a server
For reference, my first option was RocksDB but i'm having an hard time to understand it because it is information in internet is mostly C++.

2025.01.22 11:06 IzzetDough Is Hare Apparent strictly a casual deck type?
I'm in the process of building a [[Hare Apparent]] deck. Here is my decklist so far. The goal of the deck (as with most Hare Apparent decks) is to create ridiculous numbers of rabbits. I'm aiming to make the deck quite high powered so that I have something to match the more higher-powered decks that I encounter at my LGS sometimes.
I'm really tempted to add some classics like [[Esper Sentinel]] and [[Cavern of Souls]]. I've already got cards like [[Teferi's Protection]] and [[Elesh Norn, Mother of Machines]] in the deck. I'm also tempted to add even more token-doubling effects with cards like [[Delney, Streetwise Lookout]] and [[Roaming Throne]]. Perhaps some tutors too. [[Helm of the Host]] also works well with some of the token doubling effects, but is potentially not too fun to play against given its interaction with cards like Elesh.
No doubt this would make for an expensive deck, but am I right in thinking that this would still be a casual deck? I can't see a way that this deck would ever win the game in 6 turns so I don't think it's anywhere near CEDH level, but would be interested to understand what the community thinks. I want a consistent deck (so that I don't spend another game doing nothing for an hour...) but not one that is competitive.
I've seen some Hare Apparent lists that focus on burn via summoning tokens. My strategy is very much to win via combat, so I believe that this deck would be much weaker than it could be anyway. I'm also under the impression that even these burn lists would be nowhere near CEDH level.
If anyone has any suggestions on how to improve this deck too, I'd love to hear them.
I played the deck last night at an LGS. I dominated the game but I got very lucky draws (turn 1 [[Command Tower]] into [[Sol Ring]], followed by [[Three Tree City]]). It didn't seem very fun for my opponents, but it's hard to evaluate from one lucky game. They didn't seem to run much interaction so or didn't draw it, so I was basically playing solitaire.

Kia Rio UB [MkIII] (2011) G4FA 1.4L Petrol 6sp Manual I'm at my wits end, and don't know what to do so I'm hoping maybe someone here has had similar problems. Driving to work, there was a large shuddering to where I nearly smacked my head on the steering wheel. From that point it went into a limp mode, made little power but drivable. OBD reader says P0335 Crankshaft sensor malfunction. I ordered a new sensor. Some forums also said this was the right fix. Changed it, fixed for a bit. Same thing happened again. Figured maybe my part was a cheap defective one, order another part, worked for a bit, then same thing. It got parked up for a week, and when I revisited it it wouldn't even start. Tried the usual fuel / air / spark troubleshooting and found no spark (good old spray of Start Ya B***ard and found fuel pump wasn't actuating on accessories/ignition. Thought it was odd, so plug OBD in again and find i can't talk to ECU. Makes sense, so I thought, that a failing ECU could start doing odd stuff. Found ECU, but got worried about whether it would have issues talking with immobiliser and BCM, so found someone selling the whole Computer and Security system as a set for the same price as an ECU and bought it. Fast forward to yesterday, I spend hours carefully pulling and replacing the immobiliser, the bcm, and the ecu. The car starts, but I don't get hopes up. I leave it for 30min, start it again and it doesn't miss a beat. Celebrations were had. I put the dash back together, go to start it to drive it out of the shed. It doesn't start. My current race pace estimates are wildly off, almost 5-8% faster than my pb. Just started the get fit plan which has mainly 8-12km runs, I started the program with setting my half marathon pb of 1:40.
I did all the workouts which had some short speed sessions in it, now my half marathon estimate changed to 1:32 which I will never reach, I just trained for 5 weeks after a too long break. My PB was after 2 months of training, now I manually adjusted it back to normal values.
Also the 5km and 10km estimates are quite unreachable, does it adjust based on the 400m faster short intervals I do? Don’t think that says much about my half a marathon pace.
Do others have the same? I can always manually adjusted, but to have it correct I need to do some fast 5k or 10k to have a correct estimate which is not included in the plan.
