It's important to share your passion I recommended to my non-reader co-worker to try {That Time I Got Drunk and Saved a Demon}. She got a crash course in encountering spicy scenes while working today. I couldn't have ruined her morning without all your recommendations! Thanks everyone!

2025.01.22 16:58 ResidentAttention801 Back Up Camera Wiring Question

I’m going to be installing a GMA12S-6g in to my 2011 Chevy Silverado soon and was wondering if anyone has been able to wire the back up camera to not only come on when the car is put in to reverse, but to also come on by pressing some kind of button on the screen. The reason would be to be able to turn on the camera briefly while I’m towing a trailer, to check on the trailer connection etc while going down the road.
Would it be possible maybe to use an RCA Y split before it plugs in to the back of the head unit and hook the other RCA cables in to the front camera ports?
Any help would be appreciated.
Thank you

2025.01.22 16:58 MitridatesTheGreat Theory about the cycle.

Okay guys I was thinking about the whole Dela Granto thing and I came up with a question that as far as I know was never clarified in the series, and in the VN either. Which was:
"Why does Dela Granto always orbit Japan?"
Well, I guess you'll say it's because the plot demands it to because otherwise the 400 year cycle isn't possible, but... actually there might be a reasonable explanation.
Remember that we are told from the very beginning that Psychite has electromagnetic and other properties that haven't been fully detailed. We know that there are at least two large masses of Psychite existing in the world:
1) The remains of the Dela Granto that crashed 8000 years ago in what is now Sakaimachi.
2) The continental mass of Dela Granto, which orbits the Earth in a cycle with a 400 year perigee, where it approaches Japan... ALWAYS Japan.
As anyone who has studied astronomy at all can tell you, that is highly unlikely. Celestial bodies never pass through the same point twice in a row during perigee... unless there is something pulling them through the same area.
Like a large mass of electromagnetic material exerting a strong attraction on the material the celestial body is made of. Which brings us back to the Ritual and its necessity.
You see, while the show explains that the reason for needing the Dela Granto Course Correction Ritual was a miscalculation, I actually have a hard time buying the concept that a technological civilization that could seriously consider blowing a continent off Earth and sending it to another dimension... would make such a huge and basic mistake as placing that continent in an unstable orbit.
What is the most likely explanation? Simple. It was not a miscalculation. A new variant was simply introduced (the mass of psychite from the first Dela Granto to crash into Japan) which altered the orbit of Dela Granto by exerting a massive pull on the continent. That's why it's necessary to do the ritual every 400 years, coinciding with the perigee of Dela Granto relative to Earth: to compensate for the deviation caused by the pull exerted by the psychite.
As a rule, the ritual works well, even if it can never exert enough correction to withdraw from Japan's orbit... that is, until Ryuzouji blew up the ritual in the 1995-2000 cycle, causing Dela Granto to fall... which Yu-No moved to crash in 6000 BC, instead of falling on modern Japan.

2025.01.22 16:58 Question_asker03 Nodular melanoma or something else?

Nodular melanoma or something else? I have had a mole since young age that has grown very fast in the last 2 weeks and went from brown/beige in color to slightly pink to really red and doubled in size. It's scaly, hurts when touching it and feels really inflamated. What is the risk that it is nodular melanoma and what other potential causes could lead to these symptoms?
I have a doctor appointment tomorrow, but wanted to get some other opinions.
P.S. the picture of the "normal" mole is not mine, but don't have a picture of the mole from before the development started, and wanted to show how it kinda looked like before, but probably more beige.

2025.01.22 16:58 Intelligent_Phone943 Allergy to a chemical?

Allergy to a chemical? Hoping a science guru can help me here.
I am highly allergic, and have had severe respiratory reactions to many perfumes/chemicals (this came on all of a sudden after an illness, I had never had these allergies before and had made me housebound). There is a specific smell that I can detect in fragrances when I have these reactions. I’ve been trying to work out for the longest time what I could possibly be allergic to and it seems to be with any product that has ‘ethyl’ then a bunch of other words following that in the ingredients. Is it likely I’m allergic to ethane? I don’t think it could be anything else.
Before I had realised this I had wanted to make my own perfume; so I bought Vanillin, ethyl vanillin and also ethyl maltol….. I opened up the package and that same intense smell is overpowering both the ethyl products - but the vanillin smells normal.
Can anyone help with this, does this mean I’m allergic to ethane? I don’t even know what ethane really is. I have also included a picture of a perfume that I react to.

2025.01.22 16:58 italianwanabee Maserati alternatives?

Hi car enthusiasts. I have a BMW 3 series that I love but it is nearly dead. I'm looking at replacements that won't break the bank. Love the look and sound of the Maserati Ghibli but read mainly terrible things. £15k price point for low mileage in the UK so I thought could be an option, but I've been put off by the potential reliability issues. Not much cash to play with but anything similar worth getting or shall I sell a kidney for a granturismo?

2025.01.22 16:58 shadow_triad Intel 12100 vs 13400 system

I can get a tower on eBay with 8gb ram and a 12100 for $170, or a tower with 12gb ram and a 13400 for $300. What's the better value do you think? I think the 13400 would smoke an AM4 PC that's like $250. Obviously I'd be upgrading ram in either system, and possibly upgrade the 12100, but that unit only has a 180w PSU, where the 13400 system has a 300w PSU.
