The title kinda describes my life right now. I feel and know or are self aware that my situation is i should quit smoking weed all day. I’ve let it sorta take a crutch on my life, although I project in the future I will just keep smoking until I can’t. I of course wanna be an adult [21m] But my situation just sorta makes people see me as a boy who can’t do anything for himself and relys on their parents in my case my mom. When talking about quiting smoking it’s said to find what you want to do in life…
The issue comes in because I’m currently only in a position to just go to my job (because I get rides from my mom) I’ve been saving money for a while and I’ve got to like $900. My next thing is trying to find and buy a car…that will take more months of me working Being without a car as a guy just feels rough for me. The thing is Im a car person since I was really young and I just feel as if there “distant machines that I worship through drawing them / posting them on Reddit (my page) 21 years old and all I have is pictures I drew and $900. I work at a grocery store as a bagger and my mind compares my life to others. Like other guys my age are able to move out Get in relationships get into high paying careers. Like I have this demon on my back telling me I have to figure out how to make money and everyone online saying that all my problems will be solved through money. Is money important? Yes, I understand that, I get that in order to effectively learn and progress in a career field you gotta get educated. I understand there’s a billion courses out there on things to learn and not saying it’s all invalid. Sometimes I feel like an imposter and kinda shame for wanting to get into a better career than just bagging groceries. My whole life since I was 16 I’ve worked minimum wage fast food/ restaurants/ retail/ now grocery store.
There are a ton of walls that really I can’t seem to climb over until more weeks possibly months pass. (Projecting when I’ll be able to buy a vehicle + insurance.)
Why am I posting about this on the adulting Reddit? The only answer really is a depressing one for me….work harder…even though I literally can’t because I only work when my mom takes me after she leaves work. I felt it was good enough. I just hate that I feel so isolated from people especially women since I’m straight. I just feel so far behind and that I have nothing really to be proud of. I’ve had a few relationships before but that’s another thing I know I got some self improving to do. Just missing direction as I may try to look up some niche skill but the second I get into it it’s too complicated and I quit. (Coding / Digital Marketing/ SEO/ Google Analytics) just tryna chase this laptop life that I felt was real.
One more thing. My ex lives a more productive/successful life than me by all measure. She is 37 I’m 21. I talk to her sometimes and still have her # but feel bad and sorta pathetic for not getting to a certain level as a man. I was in trade school for AutoCAD and I was an un paid intern at an architecture firm for about a year. My plan of course is to get back into architecture and finish school at community college once I get my car. However I know, her life is her own and I need to move on. I’m sorry if all this is a bit overwhelming and confusing there just thoughts I want to get out. Anyways I feel like actually bad for mentioning her because “technically” we weren’t supposed to be together when we did. I didn’t have a car and she had picked me up. It was literally I felt the best time of my life and part of writing this Reddit post is coping with the reality that’s over. I really don’t even know what else to say here I’m just disappointed in myself and feel sorta dead but living. Like I’m looking up all this MGTOW and incel stuff to cope. I feel like a pathetic loser and had just got insanely lucky that few weeks I got picked up from my ex. We live in the same city so she had taken me places she had went…different stores…I have these flashbacks all over where i live and it’s like this devil just teases me with it. Anyways my days consist of draw cars smoke weed work and the whole time I’m just in a nihilistic mode and deep darkness. Like the world looks grey, goals seem/feel impossible.
Oh and btw I’m not on no dating apps I just feel the “competition” is too much considering other guys are already in careers my age. Like I really think lowly of myself. I will come back to this post to answer questions in the meantime I will go draw stuff because go to work at 6 this evening I normally either work from 2-9 6-10 and whole time I just feel jaded like I have to shut off my mind to bear it

My last financial year 23-24 I earns after pension contributions £116k
Year 22-23 I earns £109K
I have recently just had a child and want to benefit from the free child care vouchers but wanted to double up maybe if it’s good for my tax.
Can I make a pension contribution for the last 2 years, £16K + £9k so £25K now they’re both under £100K I get a 20% uplift from the government and I get a tax rebate?
My accountable isn’t really being that helpful and I want to know the exact numbers. I’m financing this from a sale of a flat I have £100K equity in.

I’ve scoured the internet, I’ve read damn near every “wedding venue” thread on this subreddit, and I’m pulling my hair out.
My fiancé and I are planning a small wedding for Halloween of 2026. We’ll be having at max 75 guests, realistically closer to 45.
We’re incredibly open to lots of venue types but we don’t want a barn. Or a farm. Or anything that feels like a barn or a farm. I also don’t want to get married in a stark white room with pristine billowing white fabric everywhere.
Our wedding will be incredibly dark/moody/gothic/whatever keyword you want to insert along those lines. My dress will be all black. Witchy/pagan elements incorporated in the ceremony. My fiancé is covered in skull and reaper tattoos. You’re getting my picture, yeah?
We don’t even really have a budget at this point because we haven’t even been able to FIND anywhere that seems to fit the bill. We are considering The Simpson House and Loose Mansion currently, but im disheartened at what feels like a lack of options. Help me think outside the box, or tell me the best unconventional wedding locations you know of.

Hey all,
I've been a dutiful tau player over the last year, but recently I've feeling the itch to start a new army. I really enjoy tau, but I think it'll be nice to try out a completely different play style (and have the chance to fully take advantage of all phases of the game). And the necron playstyle is really up my alley.
I'll be purchasing the Codex, but outside of that I've got an extra $250 - $280 to spend.
What do you all think are some key units to purchase for a 1k army?
My initial thought is to purchase the combat patrol, and the kill team box to start. Or maybe it would be better to replace the Kill team with a lokhust destroyer? I'm not sure.
I'm looking forward to hear your recommendations!

If it helps at all, I often fight against my boyfriend, who plays both CSM and Drukhari (albeit CSM a bit more) So I often have to contend with vehicles and monster units.

Wanted some new body panels for my Axial Capra, and I’m a big Fallout fan… Some very nice people designed the body panels and the Fallout iconery, so I decided to do a little remix and remove the original designers.. designs from the panels and throw together some other elements from the Fallout franchise.
Add in some painting in the slicer and I’m very happy with the results. As this is a remix of several other models I’ll be releasing this on Printables if anyone else is a Fallout fan and wants to deck out their Capra in some sweet new gear.

I work in IT and frequently have issues with placing punctuation at the end of sentences that finish in web address or other technical coding. Sometimes I can (re)structure the sentence so that it doesn't end with the URL or code, but sometimes I really want it to end that way.
I always fear that end users will be confused or "automatic grouping" will cluster the period with the code. I realize that the more technologically proficient will be able to navigate this, but I deal with all skill levels, from nothing to advanced.
Any good tips or schools of thought regarding this matter?
