When I use my Viture Pro glasses with my Steam Deck, I only have the options of 30fps/30hz, and 60fps/60hz for my display. This results in more choppier than I’d like gameplay vs using the handheld alone.
Is there a way to change it to something like 40-45fps and 80hz-90hz given the Deck’s capabilities? I feel this would greatly improve the smoothness. Any advice is appreciated.

So as the title says, I need help with my bridge pickup. It stopped sending a signal one day so I opened it up and after poking around it started working again. It stopped working, and I realized that it works after I touch the 3-way switch output with my multimeter probe. If I switch to neck and back to bridge, it stops again. Any advice? I don't think it's a solder joint problem because it still sounds perfect when it DOES work.

2025.01.22 17:09 mycolizard What (besides new ribbon cables and some 3d printed housings) is stopping us from modding the RP5 to top stick? Anyone gotten inside the D-Pad and Analog stick modules and have some insight?
I was watching Retro Tech Dad's teardown and it looks like the left side D-pad and Analog sticks are in discreet modules.
Has anyone gotten a look at the components inside the modules? Could they be swapped with new 3D-printed housings and different ribbon cables? The openings on the front look identical, a pleasant surprise.

I disliked a lot of things of the WWZ novel, but I did loved the general concept of seeing the zombie apocalypse from a more global perspective, instead of just the typical small group of isolated survivors (they even kind of mocked the lone survivalist trope). Seeing how each country faced the crisis in their own ways, and the lived experiences of different survivors from very different positions (armies, individual soldiers, civilian families, divers, conmen, even a random blind japanese oldman that fought the zombies alone in the mountains). I also really like that we saw how the world adapted after the crisis ended.
So yeah, I'm searching something like that. A book about an alien invasion of earth that shows a global perspective of the crisis, deconstructs the typical tropes of the genre, and shows us how is the world like after the invasion ends.

I have been using dupes of the 1-4 stars on themselves to ascend them so I can eventually max them for spirit orbs. Should I do the same for my 5 stars from banners like this? This is not going to be a success story, but I want to share something I learned. I also find myself going through this subreddit in search for positive stories to give myself hope. This can be useful from time to time to read, but if you are doing this obsessively, please stop.
Your search for hope can backfire. Reading positive stories online might help in the moment, but they can also lead to comparison traps or unrealistic expectations, which can reignite intrusive thoughts. Searching for hope is important for maintaining motivation and resilience during the healing process, but it’s crucial to do it in a way that uplifts you instead of deepening your pain or comparisons.
So, instead of searching for success stories, try to focus on your personal healing and your own timeline. Try some books and podcasts made by professionals. Try journaling. Create emotional connection with supportive people. Engage in activities that restore optimism like volunteering. Try yoga or martial arts.
Remember that most of the happy and reconsiled couples are not here anymore, they are living their happy lives out there. But they do exist. They must exist.
Keep your expectations realistic. Healing is slow and imperfect, but progress is what matters most. Remind yourself that ups and downs are normal. Focus on small, consistent actions rather than waiting for a big "aha" moment.
