I believe a simple solution to make maps slightly less tedious on average would simply be to show the rare on the minimap FROM THE START.
Why is it not a thing. Why do they implement checkpoint teleport (which is nice) instead of simply showing the rares? So you can plan your path to them without backtracking... And have a good idea of the density. And simply avoid the rest of the maps since rates and mechanics are the only things of interest...

2025.01.22 19:12 _This_is_an_account_ Rhythmic vibration tied to RPM
What could cause a rhythmic vibration that increases in intensity as RPMs go up? My truck has vibration that just started. The vibration is active/inactive roughly every other second. The vibration gets more intense as RPMs go up, but the vibration interval stays the same. The vibration is not affected by road speed, only engine speed. Dropping the RPM by upshifting decreases the vibration intensity and increasing the RPM by downshifting increases the vibration intensity. It starts to get noticeable around 2800 RPM and gets more intense as it goes up. I haven't gotten it up over 3500 RPM since the vibration started. Engine oil looks fine and is at the correct level. I got 2 new wheels & full set of 4 tires installed yesterday with an alignment, but I doubt that's related given the vibration seems to be coming from the drivetrain. 1997 Ford Ranger 3.0L V6 4x4 5-speed manual

Throwaway account so he can’t find me! I feel like I’m going crazy, I’ve been gaslit and lied to for three years over loads of things by him. The one thing that still ties me (29F) up in knots, is being told he (34M) cheated on me and he’s straight up lied about it. He deleted the messages between them so he couldn’t even prove that he didn’t and of course denies it (I found out because she told someone and one of my friends was in earshot and she told me).
When I confronted him about it, it was like he almost told me the truth and then backtracked thinking I would have an extreme reaction or do something incredibly impulsive.
All he cared about at the time was finding out who had told me. It was someone he used to sleep with years before so it would make sense if he had drifted back there at some point, he was never that intimate with me.
I found out about this in November 2023 and we had been together since September 2021.
Shortly after receiving this news I went for an STI check and was devastatingly diagnosed with genital warts :( from what I’ve been reading, they can lay dormant for years - but I’m just not buying that. I was never that irresponsible before I met him and my sexual partner before that was someone I’d been sleeping with for about five years.
We haven’t been together for a long time, but I’m really struggling with the fact that I have to get ongoing treatment and I just can’t understand where they came from. It really fucks with my mental health and has completely destroyed any sexual confidence I had left.
Is it really possible that it had been lying dormant for years? Or did he catch it when he cheated on me and gave it to me?
I can’t feel like this anymore I feel like I’m going crazy because I can’t find any logic in it, and I’ll never ever get the truth from him :(

2025.01.22 19:12 Metabera Mac in DFU mode not showing on any other Mac
TL;DR MacBook Air M1 in DFU mode is not showing up on any other Macs. I used DFU Blaster and multiple other host Macs and cables, but the affected device is still not showing up. I need Help.
As the title says. I have a MacBook Air 2020 M1 that appears to be bricked. The OS starts to load, and then it reboots several times before showing the support screen. I have held the power button to boot to recovery, but as soon as it shows the 'Loading recovery options' message, it cuts out, and the reboot cycle begins again.
I have manually entered DFU mode to restore/revive the Mac, but the device didn't show up in Finder or Configurator on any other Macs; I even commandeered some non-managed Macs to try on them. Sceptical that I wasn't getting it into DFU mode, I downloaded DFU Blaster, which is doing the job perfectly, but alas, the affected Mac is still not showing up on any other Mac that I connect it to.
I have tried different USB-C cables, checked ports, and quintuple-checked that I was definitely in the DFU ports on both Macs, but the affected Mac will not show up in Finder or Configurator. I have even removed the Logic Board to make sure that there is no liquid damage, but it still looks like a brand-new MacBook Air inside.
I have searched high and low for days and found nothing helpful. So, I would like your advice. Am I cooked, or should I just swallow my pride, take out a loan, and hasten to my nearest Apple Store?

A few hours ago, Mattel has revealed the 14 designs that can be voted on for their T-shirt contest - however, I can't find the artists for each piece as only Mattel's accounts are tagged in their post. Is there some way to find out who drew which piece?
I'M asking because one piece shows a few indicators or having used AI in the creation process & has already found some accusations in the comments. I don't want to throw around accusations without having looked at previous pieces since all of the quirks could also just be mistakes or artistic choices - What do you guys think about it though? Any thoughts on the contest finalists?
