2025.01.22 19:19 Content-Promotion584 TV mounting advice
Hi all,
Looking for some inspiration and suggestions on the best way to go about getting our TV off of the living room floor.
TV is a 65" LG G2 and we currently only have the standard wall-flush mount that comes with it.
Because the chimney bricks are not even and come in all sorts of wonderful sizes, I have been hesistant to use said mount. I'm also not entirely convinced of the structural integrity of this thing and the angle/taper towards the ceiling in my opinion renders the flush-mount a no-go in my eyes.
I am ultimately considering getting a tilt mount and just ramming it into the bricks, or having a false/media wall installed as a last resort.
Before I do anything, does anybody have any better ideas?
Any help is greatly appreciated.

2025.01.22 19:19 dotplaid VSO keeps saying that joints are rated as a whole, but my ACL repair and meniscectomy should rate separate, yes?
I had an ACL replacement and a partial meniscectomy (same knee, same time) on active duty. I'm currently rated 0% for the ACL. I filed a claim for the meniscectomy along with some secondary claims. All claims were denied, except the meniscectomy which was neither rated nor denied - there was no mention of it in my decision letter.
My VSO filed an HLR and had a conference call recently. We're going to chat soon but he summarized the conversation saying that the knee rating will stay the same and a DTA error was found for the other knee. He often says that the VA rates on a joint, not on a series on conditions or symptoms.
Shouldn't the meniscectomy be considered separate from the ACL even though they're co-located? This "as a joint" business eludes me.

2025.01.22 19:19 Embke AppleCare+ Express Replacement Backorder. Waiting over 2 weeks with no ETA.
On Jan 4, 2025 my iPad Pro M4 1TB was verified at an Apple Store as having system instability. Prior to this, I had been having unexpected shutdowns and reboots, but support through the support app couldn't find anything wrong with my device. My iPad is covered by both the warranty and AppleCare+.
The store said they would order a replacement for me, and it would be available to pick up within a week. The store stated they'd call me once the device arrived. A week went by without a call. I contacted support, and after being transferred 3 times, I was told that the store didn't have a replacement. Support advised me to cancel the replacement through the store and do an Express Replacement. I did that.
Today is Jan 22, 2025. My replacement is still waiting to ship. I contacted Apple for an update, and text chat told me that the device had shipped and would arrive by the end of the week. Text chat was unable to provide a tracking number, so I figured this was a lie. I requested to speak with a supervisor.
I was eventually transferred to a Senior Support Representative. The representative advised me that repair inventory for my device is backordered, and that my only option is to wait. Apple has no other options, and requests to exchange for a retail device or a different SKU were denied.
So, here I am, 2.5 weeks after having a verified stability issue. I still don't have a properly functioning device, and there is no timeline for when I will receive a working device.

I drive this road from the ardkeen roundabout to the butlerstown roundabout few times a day, work and school drop offs pick ups the usual, why do people use the overtake lane as a sit and don't even do the speed limit ? Don't stop at the roundabouts and drive straight through and continue in the overtake lane ?? Today was the worst, suvs and mammy yapping on the phone, one car the girl brushing her hair, another voice noting ( so it looked like) loads of work vans , the ones that have no indicators , ya know the ones 🙄 and the other extreme, the ones who wear out their disk pads in the space of a week with the constant braking 🙃 took a detour this morning, past the ursline school, that big yellow box at the lights .....not 1 car left it free . Lights changed twice and no one could get out ! The RAgE was real today 🤪

I’ve had my ring 24 hours and I’m already not a fan. It’s making my finger feel hot which is causing me to feel overstimulated. I can very much FEEL the ring on my finger as I’m not used to wearing rings often… I also don’t like that I have my Apple Watch on one hand and my ring on the other. It feels like too much tracking but I don’t want to give up my watch.
Should I bear with or return it?
